How much did you weigh last year at this time and what do you weigh now?

It's always interesting to look back over the year and see where you were and where you are now. My stats:

January 2007: 310-320 lbs
January 2008:
253 lbs

I started dieting (counting calories) last June (2007) and have lost 65 lbs since in about 6-7 months.

How much did you weigh last year at this time and what do you weigh now?

I gained weight during the summer, and have been dieting since September. Oh and congratulations on your weight loss !! :]

Jan 2007: @ 210

Jan 2008: @ 191

I want 2008 to be my year! I have @33 # to go!

Interesting and helpful to look back! Thanks!

January 2007: 340-350 lbs
January 2008: 276 lbs

When I started losing weight in April I was at 343.. but suspect I was even higher than that at some point. I lost 60 lbs in 6 months, but since then things have slowed and I am currently down 67 lbs total.

Thanks for this thread - it is good to think about what we have accomplished this past year. I hope that this fresh start (new year, new school quarter) helps me start stronger again and lose more quickly. But, I am so proud of myself for just having not given up entirely by now, so my main thing is not so much taking it off fast but just continuing to be in control of my intake. Even if it is sometimes a little higher than I would like, I am tracking it and it was totally out of control before. I also am continuing to exercise regularly and I feel stronger and so much healthier.

i think i was like 160+, now im 143

Jan 2007:  170+

Jan 2008:  140

jan 08   191

Still have 40 or so to lose.  Have taken it slow and this summers fire season I stopped hiking and have been just maintaining since then.  As of the new year I am back to focusing on weight loss.  My mindset is fine with it being slow and steady.

Jan 2007: about 187

Jan 2008: about 145

Still want to loose 20-25lbs...getting there slowly

Jan 2007: 276

Jan 2008: 224

Goal this year: 190 (and I'll make it, too)

I started using CC around June and it has helped me get the last 30 pounds and I feel confident I can keep it going.  After decades of trying to get healthy and stay that way I finally realized... it's all about the math.  Burn more calories than you take in and you'll lose weight.  Period.  Other than that it's all about toning and conditioning.

Good luck to everyone in 2008!

Jan 2007-  315

Jan 2008-  230

I was down to 219, but I had pneumonia for nine weeks and couldn't work out.  I am really depressed about the 11 extra pounds.

JAN 2007 - 247 lbs

JAN 2008 - 180 lbs

(Started new lifestyle July 25/07)

How can I make walking fun?

You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
