Why do I weigh more in the afternoon than in the morning?
Asked by afoneleri on Nov 10, 2008 in Weight Maintenance

Answer

You weigh more in the afternoon because your body is better hydrated than it was in the morning when you arose.  As you sleep, water is lost through breathing and perspiration.  The average person loses 20 - 30 ounces of water a day in the breath alone.  To see the water molecules in your breath, breathe on a mirror or a window and watch the fog it creates.
