I weight way more then i look. I weight 177 but i look like i weight about 120 lbs.
do you have the same problem?
that's a good thing, no? better than weighing 120 and looking like you weigh 177. :) I always thought that i weighed slightly more than I look and people often think that I'm lighter than I really am (though maybe they are just being polite. XD ).
Altough I weigh a lot more than you...I have always been told I don't look like I weight as much as I do. I even had a doctor be totally off on what I thought my weight was once (before they actually weighed me that is). People hold their weight differently and some proportion it evenly over their body (like me).
You do look slim in your picture.
I have the opposite problem lol, I only weigh 103 lbs and I look closer to 120.
if you wear baggy sweatshirts of course no one can guess your real weight.
First off, I'm a 17 yo 6' tall male, but I weighed 230 lbs a few weeks ago and I was talking with a buddy I had just met, I forget how we got on the subject but he said he didn't think I weighed any more than 200 lbs. I was like, haha, I wish I was at 200 lbs but I'm really about 230 and that looked like it sincerely suprised him. It's possible he was just being nice but he really did look suprised when I told him I weighed 230 lbs.
I've always thought I weigh more than I look & most people agreed.
Remember: your height, bone density, frame size & amount of muscle are important in determining your weight.
I have the opposite problem. :(
I look much heavier than I weight. I've still got a bit of a double chin left over from before the weight loss, and my arms are a bit flat (even though I've been toning them).
I think Im opposite too, weigh 9 stone, look almost 10.
I don't know about me. I think I look pretty close to my actual weight. One person might think I weigh more, while another person might think I weigh less. It's all subjective. However, I doubt someone would guess my weight and be off by 57lbs, like how you are.
I look more than I weigh right now! I haven't gained or lost any weight this summer, but I stopped exercising entirely and it SHOWS. As soon as I get back to school and its darling air conditioned gym I am jumping back on the wagon!
I think I do too, I mean, I dont look SKINNY but def a little lighter. I weigh 160 right now @ 5'10'', but people regularly tell me how fit I look, and I fit into size 6 clothing.
I think I look great, somdays I even think I look thin and then I see a photo.
In my head I look thin, but I realise that even though I've come really far and am now a healthy weight I still don't look like a 'thin girl'. I've not got to lose much more wieght, but I need to swap some of the weight I do have for muscle and get a bit fitter before I'll look the way I do in my head.
I hope so! I was at the doc last week and I got on the scale and the nurse started at 170 and started slowly moving the weight up. She got to 180 and was like "how much do you weigh?" she looked really suprised when I said 200. It made me feel good, but could have been a fluke, haha.
dplatzer, I hope I look that good at 160! You look awesome.
Yes, that is the case with me. I "appear" thinner than my weight. And it translates to my clothing sizes too. Ex, at 5'7", 155 - 160 lbs. female, I am usually a size 8/10. I have a large frame. At 140 lbs. I look emaciated.
I think it's a good thing. Certainly better than the opposite!

caiteliz014, you definitely do not look 200... I also would have put you around 170 give or take!!!
yes i weigh about 185 wear about size medium or large in clothes and can wear about a size 12 or 14 in pants
i think i look thinner than i weigh
I also have the OPPOSITE problem….
I weigh about 8 stone….110 - 115 lbs
But I look more like 120 or more. Which is gross for me.
Because I have large boobs at 110. If I were to weigh 120 I would have SO much extra/unnecessary weight for my body type. So people do not realize how off their guesses are lol.
When I was 160 I had that problem.
When I told most people my weight they would always be so surprised and think I was lying... Most people thought I weighed 130 or so.
I weigh 150 right now but I'm not sure this is still the case. To me, now that I'm losing weight, the fat is more obvious in places like my lower stomach which sucks.
