Do you weigh more than you 'look'?? I do.
I've ALWAYS weighed more than I look. Even as a hot 17 year old -
I was 170lbs! And I was merely out of shape-ish at that
time. Yes, I've a 'large frame'. I mean my wrist bones are
like 8inches around. I kid you not. (That Viking heritage,
remember????) Anyways - it's still frustrating. I feel so
ashamed of my 'number' all the time. On Biggest Loser 1 for
example. Kelly - she weighed less than me when she started, but
she looked MUCH bigger. Both Kelly's, actually. One of my
best friends has SO much more fat and bulk than I, yet she can wear
size 14 and I can't get into 18???? I see it time and time
again. Anyone else have this issue? Does it mess with your
mind? AND SHOPPING!?
I'm a 34G - and I love skipping for working out... it's a complete NIGHTMARE.
Anyone I've ever discussed it with thinks I'm about 20lbs less than I am. Owing to my boobs completely overshadowing my stomach, it gives the illusion that it's quite flat.
I notice another pattern (other than big 'jubblies'!) - I once lost
60lbs and NO ONE noticed. That was too much to take! I took
it very personally (stupid) and gave up (not this time). I have
to guess it's cuz proportionally I look more or less the same - big
boobs and total hour-glass. WHATEVER! I'm just changing my
life and doing what I need to do. Even if no none notices
(including dumb-ass hubby) - I'm donig this for ME.
Still.....t'would be nice to get encouraged. :(
It's true about women with big breasts, if they are slightly overweight, the boobs overshadow that! So true!!! I have a friend who is overweight, and she looks thinner than me because of her boobs!
I'm so happy to find all my fellow D's and DD's. 44 DD reporting in! I do like Champion's sports bra - I actually found one with underwire. I do have a lighter sports bra that I wear underneath it when I have to jump around.
At 5'6 and 215, I dropped to 170 and no one noticed. Nothing.. even more depressing is that I went from wearing 16 to 14. Didn't change bra size too much, maybe to a 42. You expect at 45 lbs a bigger change. I was dissapointed.. why bother?
My husband did notice, but I got one of those rare men.. who actually notice things. Probably because he was raised with a bunch of women!
This time I'm trying to focus on "health". While I may still look the same at a lower weight, my health will be better. I'll look better on the inside. Not nearly as motivating.. but just as important.
When I was 195 at 5'4" most people guessed 140-150, I'm at 110 5'5" right now and most people guess 90...
I only look my real weight if I'm in a swimsuit, and the only people that ever get to see me in a swimsuit are my immediate biological family. If I've got clothes on, I look about 10 pounds lighter.
All I can say is that my largest bra size was a 38 ff/g, and even when
I had lost some weight I was still a 36DDD. I was having a lot of
back pain and finally took the plunge and had a breast reduction.
This was NOT instead of weight loss, it was because even when I lost
weight they were still huge and I just couldn't deal. Truthfully,
it was one of the best things I ever did for myself.
As for looking less than you weigh, I've always been one of
those. The problem is, though, that I carry the majority of my
weight right in my belly, like a man (please laugh). I have been
asked more than once if I was pregnant. From a four-year-old it
was cute..."Do you got a baby in your belly?" I went shopping
(bane of my existence) last weekend, though, and the woman asked if I
was a size 8. I laughed. She said, "Your legs are so
thin." I said, "Yeah, but I don't carry my weight in my legs."
I weigh 194 lbs and I have to prove it to people sometimes. Look at my photos, you can't tell. When I am 150 lbs I look way too skinny. You can actually see my rib cage at 150 - 160 lbs.
nah i have it the opposite way around!!
I look like i must weigh about 100lbs or something... thats what me dad guessed. but i actually weigh about 113-115lbs.
however, clothing wise, i can fit anything from UK size 6 and up depending on the store. i usually like more loose fitting clothes though, so i stick to size 8-10.
Im guessing u were taller, but anyways yah I had some guys tell me I look 120 when I was 5.2 at 148lbs but Im guessing other gurls they been with lied to not make their selves sound so bad.
i'm not that tall.. i'm v short compared to my friends... i'm about 5'5, and most people at school are likr 5'7 average...
im 5 f 6 and 195 and when the weight came up at the docs this past week he says wait a minute this cant be right your not that big....................Ive alwalys looked like i was alot thinner than I actually am I think its alot like someone said in the above posts sometimes maybe ppl are just more dense and carry our weight better.
Most people would say I look 120, but I am actually 145. People also say I look 2 inches taller that I really am, too. It's weird. I could wear a six, but then I get the muffin top. I carry most of my weight in my middle. Glad to see some of my fellow ladies out there reppin' the DD's! 34 DD right here!
I unfortunatly have a runner's ass aka NONE. :(
I also am 5'8" and people are shocked when I tell them my wieght. I have a very small frame so I can generally go up and down 10 to 15 pounds with out anyone noticing. When I hit the 170's+ It goes to my face and then people know I am overweight.
BTW - the best and most inexpensive sports bra is "Ace Bandages" I need two to wrap up the girls, but it is the only thing I find that works for running and jumping rope. It always "fits right" and it doesn't cut into your shoulders and for an hour or so you "look" flat chested lol...
Currently I am at 5'9" 175 and most think I weigh around 150 or so. To all you big breasted ladies, I was also top heavy at 38E and weighed 240. Even after losing considerable weight my breast size did not change.......a family "trait"!! So I had a breast reduction to a comfy 36D, perfect for my height and has made a huge difference in my body image and ability to exercise, etc. Something to consider, the surgery is a breeze and if anyone wants further info feel free to ask!
Yep, in my profile picture I was about 160lbs. And I'm only 5'2"! Most people guess around 125, which was way off, lol. I was blessed with an hourglass figure and good proportions (ie big boobs and a high, round butt, lol) Now I'm 145 and awaiting my 135 mark!! :)
I don't think most nice people would walk up to any of us and say "Gee you are overweight!" Most people would say "you don't look like you weigh that much". But............I know that I am overweight and I am the one that counts on this one and no amount of "you don't look it" will convince me it is true! Folks people don't usually say "you look fat". Have you said that to someone lately? I sure haven't and hope I am never callous enough to do that. The truth is there and when I am overweight I know it!
Another D checking in. I'm so short (5' 2.75") and I carry almost all my excess weight "up front" in belly and boobs. I've lost 57 pounds, and almost entirely from belly (some hips, too.) Boobs? Nope. Losing fat from my whole torso has reduced the band size from 42 to 38, but my cup size went UP from DD to DDD. Before I started gaining weight in my mid-20s, I was a 36 C/D. I really, really hope that eventually, as I get back down to that weight again, I'll go back to a D. But if I don't, I'll probaby get breast reduction surgery. I just can't deal with it. It's SUCH a pain shopping for clothes.
I was at a carnival, playing one of those Guess games, in which the person guesses how much you weigh, then you step on the scales and if they miss by twenty pounds you win...
Well, they guessed I was over forty pounds overweight. Plus the look on the girl's face when I stepped on the scales was a little embarassing. But hey, I got a teddy bear out of it.
