How do YOU weigh in?? Do you just jump on and hope..peek with one eye?? or have an elaborate routine?
Its always the same for me I get nervous sunday night... get to the mall..on monday, do my walking.. I weigh at 10am (when the GNC store opens I keep the printouts as a record of my weight loss..) so I make sure I have the same clothes on and I have used the ladies room and I have only eaten a .81oz special K bar at 6:30 am or nothing..lol..I take of my waist pack and weights and shoes..LOL..other mall walkers now are used to me and wait to see how Im doing..talk about pressure..I have 7 senior citizens waiting to see if Ive lost..They are so happy when I do lose and so supportive when I dont but makes me feel I have to try not to let them down...good motivation I think..LOL
When I get to my goal I'm going to laminate my first printout.180lbs and my last printout (125lbs I hope) and put them in a frame for my desk..:)

I do it first thing in the morning, as soon as I get up, before I've eaten, but after i've peed! lol Don't know if it has a significant effect, but it makes ME feel better!
I don't have enough space on my bathroom floor to keep a scale there, so everytime I have to take it down off the windowsill, get a reading, step off, then get back on for a real reading.
Oh yeah and I do the whole wake up, pee, get naked thing too.
When I get to my goal weight I am framing a picture of my weight chart from this site.

i've started weighing in about every other day (i read somewhere that 'dieters' that weighed in every day lost the most weight - i think because they could see the fluctuations and adjust when they hit a plateau) but those are kind of just 'whatever' weight in. i get necked, note the weight and log it here. my big weigh ins are every other saturday. i weigh in (necked again), and take measurements. then i compare. so far they're not moving as much as i had hoped, but i'm seeing improvement.
I weigh when I feel like weighing. If I just did it yesterday but wanna do it again, I do. If I don't feel like doing it for a week, I don't.
Generally I weigh in my pjs. I get on and off maybe 3-5 times because I know it'll give different readings each time :-P . Then I take something in the middle, or if the same number came up more than once (by some miracle) I take that.

Usually I do the get up, pee and get naked routine in the mornings. But in the past few days I've had significant weight loss so I've been weighing myself throughout the day...yep after I pee I get naked and check. I'm becoming a bit obsessive but dang! I love my scale these days!
this is such a funny post! i love it. just did the same thing. . . . . .
I am like a few others on this site. I wake up at 6am, go pee, weigh myself in my pj's (underware), get on and off usually 2-5 times, matters how much it fluctuates, if it is consistant, 2 times, if not, 5 times. I do it daily since it can give me a boost in the morning.
But my big weigh in days are saturday mornings, same routine, but only compare from saturday to saturday, and from the same day the previous month. I hate digital scales, they seem to jump a round, this morning my cheap digital went 225 to 222, and no matter how many times I got on, it hit only those two numbers. Then I used my better quality scale (just bought) and it said 221-222.
I like doing it the same time each day. I wish I could afford one of those nice scales the doctors or health clubs have.

i refuse to have a scale in my house.. i become obsessive.. i would weigh myself 6-10 times a day.. how screwed up is that? hahah.. so now i use the heavy duty dr. scale in my gym's locker room.. i have a membership to the "fancy" locker room so there's like no one ever in there.. so i'm not uncomfortable weighing there and having other people see me.. hehe.. my previous gym only had 1 locker room and the scale had a HUGE digital read out pointed right at the lockers so if you weighed yourself there everyone knew what you weighed.. this one is sooo much nicer.. :)
I weigh myself every other day or so now. I wait until I've
gotten up and made my coffee, gone potty etc then I stand naked on my
scale before I dress to get an accurate measure.
When you first roll out of bed you can be a bit "heavier" on the scale because you need a few minutes for the blood to start pumping and everything to wake up :) If I weigh first thing when I get up I'm always a pound or so heavier than if I've been up for 30 minutes...weird huh? lol
Anyway, I like to see the low number if only for vanity purposes LoL so I wait a bit then do it :)

christins that makes so much sense now why I have been losing a pound or two in the shower :) I just thought i was really dirty (giggles)
I get up....go pee...stand around a couple of minutes..then strip down and get weighed. I have scale in bedroom and bathroom so if the bathroom has a line I simply pee and head to bedroom then strip down. I stand on it for a few moments then I look down...I have been weighing everyday recently simply because I like seeing that 199!!! But I only count it on Thursday's.....
I lift at the college I graduated from, which has the scale they use for wrestling weigh ins right outside of the weight room. I weigh myself on it every day during my workout (except my off day, Friday) and log my weight in the site.
I'm honest about logging my daily fluctuations, so I can keep an accurate measurement of caloric intake vs. weight.
Weighing myself daily seems to help drive me, gain or loose.

I weigh in the mornings...get up, go to the bathroom, pee, strip, re-calibrate the scale, (people bump it /all/ the time, and this one's particularly fussy about being bumped...I've gained 4 pounds for a /week/ before I figured out it'd been bumped, so I re-cal it, and voila, 4 pounds dissappeared!) and jump on...I'm obsessive about it, I know..'cause I'll do it then, and then when I get dressed, I jump back on, but that's because now that I've lost some weight, it's so great to see that even with full clothes and shoes on, and breaky and everything, I don't weigh as much as I used to nekkid!
I weigh every day to make sure i am holding at a weigh numbers and not gainning. I hate to weigh but i feel if i don't i will lose control and over eat and then gain 5 pounds.. SO i play peek a bo with the scales.
I wake up and pee, then give the kids a drink, get the coffe pot started and go to the bathroom and pee again, get naked and everything. I stand so still and breath out as much air as I can! lol
That is my routine. I weigh everyday!

- Very interesting to see that most of the posts confirm my own, what I thought was an odd morning weigh-in routine.
- I use the daily, morning, post pee, naked, waiting-for-the-coffee, method just as most others do!

ive decided to only weigh in when i see my doctor, i see him once a week. Im on a weigh loss program besides he told me i would drive myself crazy if i weighed in everyday. Crap i was going crazy waiting on my next doctor visit yesterday morning. ( One week and only 6lbs loss)
For sure, I weigh myself every morning........then later on throughout the day........I have congestive heart failure.....have to constantly watch for that fluid gain. So a once a day weigh-ins is a must.
Oh yes, I also do the routine as everyone else....pee and be undressed!

Well right now I am just getting weighed at the Doctor's. He scared me enough that I actually started a diet plan lol. 42 pounds gone so far!! I see him again in 5 weeks. I'll let ya know!
Um... my ritual starts the night before, when I ask our resident scales whisperer(s) to give me a hand if I'm feeling particularly nervous. My official wweigh-in is once weekly, but I'll tap the scale a time or two during the week to make sure I'm not gaining, altho i do that with clothes on, shoes, whatever. Then, freshly awakened, I log on and confirm that my scales have, in fact, been whispered to. I give them a cheery grin and a pleasant good morning on my way to the bathroom, where I make sure I have NO extra ballast WHATSOEVER. Then I weigh in, log, and go shower. I have crazy long hair that holds nearly 2lb of water when wet, as I found one morning by accident. So I just have to hope that dirt wieghs less than all that water.
