Well I finally broke through my plateau. At least I hope so. I increased my work out intensity a little, and upped my daily cals a little. I tried Dr. Al Sears idea he calls Pace. where you work out in short high intensity spurts then rest, and repeat, etc. instead of steady continuos  aerobics for a long time. I bicycle, so I  do spurts of hard pedaling then coast a little, instead of the constant steady pedaling for 90 minutes that I was doing. I still stay on the bike for the full 90minutes. I'll let you know as I go how it's working. So far so good.

Here's my # for this week:

SW: 248 (4/03/09)

LW: 187.6

CW: 184.6 (yea!)Cool

Mini Goal 170 by Jan'10 (14.6 more to go)

Ultimate Goal: 145 by April'10

It was a great week....I have increased myself to 6 days of activity which I think is helping.

5lbs down..now I don't anticipate that for next week...I was not stellar with my eating the last two days...I didn't go over but I did eat my max....so I need to be better....I like having that cushion....tomorrow is another day and back on track.

Genowg-GREAT JOB!!!!  I need to keep those things in mind when I hit my plateau's.

I don't get it!  I was a slug this week - didn't really work out, ate Thanksgiving Dinner THREE times (managing to stay almost within my calorie allotment, though), and TTOTM too...I must have lost a lot of muscle or else I am dehydrated.  Not complaining, but I'm sure I will pay for it next week at weigh in time.  I have put my slug-like behaviours in their place, though, and have been to the gym yesterday and today. 

Mini Goal:  275 by Christmas

Ultra Goal:  144???

I am beginning to think it's good to fluctuate your daily calories often to keep your body from getting in a rut. I think when you eat up a little you prevent that "starvation mode" from kicking in. Where your body thinks it needs to hang on to some fat because more vittles ain't coming. lol.  100 or so cals isn't going to break your diet, but I think it helps avoid that plateau. My new theory anyway. I'll let you know how it pans out for me.

Earlier in the week I hit 210, but today... eh whatever :) I recalculated my settings to see what my calories per day would be to maintain at my goal weight (106ish) and its friggin 1300 a day. That was very sad to me! but, did I really think it was going to say like 2500 calories? :) nope So if I want to ever eat more, I'll need to make sure I'm moving my tushie more too.

Mini goal 1: 209 (I'm making my mini goals uber mini)

Ending goal: 106 lbs/17% body fat or there abouts

Crappy week for me.

I'm not concerned about it. I had greasy hash browns the night before and then the day before that I had a lot of my husband's birthday pudding dessert thing I made.

 

It'll come back off in time.

just 2 lbs could even be water.  It will prob be gone in a day or so GL this week!

Viraloracle, Sorry to hear about your crappy week.  I'm sure it is probably normal fluctuation/ water retention. I'm sure you didn't eat an extra 7,000 calories in 1 week. That would be 1,000 extra a day! To really gain 2lbs.  Just say'n;

Hello everyone!  I'd like to start weighing in with you folks if you don't mind.  A little accountability is great!  I started using cc this summer, but then totally let it go when school started back up, and I'm feeling motivated at the moment.

SW: 280 (June)

CW: 268

Mini Goal: 250 by Christmas (little less than 2lb/week)

Ultimate goal: ?? I'm gonna say around 160...

Well this isn't a week that I weigh but my non scale victory was not going to Wendy's and ordering 2 meals, which I had given myself permission to do, but instead went home and had 2 veggie burgers and some Alexia fries for about 400 cals.

My stats from last week are:

SW: 320 ish June 09

LW: 252.8

Mini Goal: to be under 250....I'm knockin on that door Laughing

Ultimate Goal: 170 as soon as I can comfortably reach it and then I'll set a  new        &nb sp;      one.

 

I also posted some pics tonight in my Halloween costume what a difference from my starting weight!!!

What a great week for everyone!

I am a little worried as I really twisted my ankle yesterday so not sure how much walking I am going to get in or to the gym.  I want this to heal but I hate not being able to exercise.

Guess I am just going to have to be extra good!

Well what do you know?  It's Monday and my first weigh-in.  I've spent most every moment since October 14th, my start date, reading the entries on CC.  Here's the result:

Hallelujah!  I'm a happy woman.  I'd been dilly- dallying and hovering back and forth around a certain weight, and then finally squeezing a pound off me.  I now feel I can set a modest mini goal of losing 12 pounds by New Years, to get me under 200, a weight I haven't seen for many years.  Thank you to every one who has posted their stories and encouraging remarks - it has helped me tremendously.

How is everyone else doing?  I'm thinking of you.  No matter what, keep on trucking.

 

 

At first I wasn't going to pot because I didn't lose weight this week I gained I been staying in my calorie goal but it's the choice of foods I'm eating so last week I was a bad chick but I'm starting over no more fast food for me I'm making a promise to myself.

glad you did post because you arent bad just made a few bad choices but even that might not have been the cause for such a small gain, might be water who knows our bodies are complex lol.  You hang in there you will make it!

Hi everyone! wow these results are really inspiring. Anyways about a two weeks ago I was 300, last week I weighed in at 290 (don't know what happened) it went back up to 293.Yell I weigh in on Thursdays so imma put my stats then..
