I do it daily, in the morning when I get up, right after going to the bathroom.  Same time, say way every day.

I was a once a week weigher before, but a nutritionist friend of mine had me try it daily and track it.  I thought it was kind of weird and/or neurotic at first.  But, it did tell me a bit about myself.  I created an excel worksheet that takes my daily weights and shows a line graph (yeah, I know weird).  I noticed that between Tuesday and Thursday is when my body usually loses weight during the week.  It's been pretty consistent now for over 2 months.

I'll probably stop doing it daily once I reach my goal, but it did teach me a little bit about how my body was working.  It also gave me some better thoughts when I went up on a particular day.  This way if I happened to weigh in on Mondays and I happened to eat something salty on Sunday one week, I could end up gaining weight for Monday, be depressed, but not realize that I was down 1 - 2 lbs from the previous week, but the sodium totally blew my weekly weigh-in.  Been there too.

So, to each his/her own.  I just say, be consistent.

Every morning, no clothes, after bathroom break. I write it in a notebook. Have data going back more than 5 years. Both my wife and I do that. It helps when I look at how much I weighed back then. I also weigh myself when I get home from work and before I go to bed to see how I am progressing and to learn more about how my body reacts to what I have eaten.

Hey bpcrue - I'm the same way. My Wed/Thur/Fri morning weight is the lowest of the week! It goes up because we have dinner at a friends house most Fri nights. Hard to keep the sodium down, are out all day Sat and frequently have restaurant dinner with friends Sat or Sun nights. Tough to get the calories and sodium correct on those days. So on Mon morning I am frequently heavier than Fri morning
