I am just curious to who weighs themself every day? I am guilty of this and sometimes I am happy I do (right after a work out, or first thing in the morning), then other times it discourages me SO much! I am just curious to who else does this?
I probably weigh myself three times a day, morning, night, and after exercising. I've found that I chalk most of the little fluctuations (gain or loss) up to either the scale being inaccurate or water. I don't take them seriously and it's nice to know when you will weigh a little more etc. The only things I do take seriously are the TRENDS..so if for a week I was hovering from 128.5-129.5 and the next week I hover between 127.5-128.5, I would figure I lost a pound.
I have found, like many of you, that my weight stays fairly level for a few days and then drops off a bit. The fact that it stays level only makes me exercise harder.

Why do you need to weigh yourself so often? Surely you can guage trends easily simply by weighing once a day, at the same time every day?
merylwhite1,
I agree, I'm sure I could gauge trends by weighing once at the same time everyday, but this is my first time actively trying to lose weight and actually the first time I've ever owned a scale, so right now I just find it interesting. I don't feel obsessive or emotional when I see the numbers though, so I think it's still okay.
you got to do it ! if not everyday , at least 4 times a week. how are you going to adjust your diet/exercise program if you don't measure the results ?
Is my sodium intake too low?
You have nothing to worry about because sodium deficiency is extremely rare. In fact, there is not even an recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA... Read more
