How much weight do you fluctuate on maintenance?
I am now in the process of maintaining my weight after losing 25 lbs over the past year. I am a 38 year old mother of four, am 5' 6" and now weigh between 126 and 127 lbs. I would love to get to 125lbs but am okay as long as I don't see 128 on my scales!![]()
My question is: How much should one's weight fluctuate when trying to stabilize or maintain the new weight? And how much influence does working out at the gym do to the new weight?
i think now u shd change ur profile preferences to maintaining.. and it will guide u to how much to eat and other stuff
great work by the way
and pray for me too
I suspect it will vary some from person to person, but I find that my weight fluctuates within a three or four pound range. Obviously, I prefer the lower points of the fluctuations, but the high points almost always correspond with eating out (sodium) or the effects of the last of my hormones.
Yup, same as megan, a give or take of 1-2 pounds from the ideal is perfect in my book.
Congrats on losing 25 lbs. in a year; that was an intelligent goal and time frame. I lost my weight a bit too fast, and now realize just how difficult it will be for me to keep it off. I am trying to get into a maintenance mode, and am currently trying to stay in a 5 pound window of 170-175; I found out I could not stay in the 168-173 window I had been in, but I shall keep trying.
My weight gain is almost always water such as eating a lot of jello and drinking a lot of coffee.
I lost 37 lbs between 2007 and 2008. My weight has "fluctuated" up 20 lbs and is starting to "fluctuate" back down. lol
