Weight Flucuations

Quote  |  Reply

Hello, I joined cc and stated by goal weight to be 130, I am currently at 145. i chose sedentary activity and it calculated by calories to be 1300 with a activity of 1530 which is a 230 deficit per day. I did join a regular exercise class, jogging/powerwalking/weights/resistance bands & stretching twice a week for 1 1/2 hrs. I also golf 1 night a week ( I know not considered exercise) but at least I am walking. I also bought some vibration machines sessions to lose some cellulite, the woman said you burn 300 calories for a 10 min session. I drink close to 8 glasses of water per day. i stay well within my 1300 calories but I don't see the weight coming down. One day I am up 1.8 lbs, down 1 lb etc. I basically am at the same 145 and have been at this for over 6 weeks. I try to eat protein with each meal and really watch my portion size.

I have read that you should adjust your calories to eat over 1300 one day/1300 one day and under another to confuse your system. This vibration machine is also supposed to kick start your metabolism.

Any other suggestions for why this weight does not come off. My trend shows a decline but not by much. My inches haven't been reduced either.

Thanks this is getting frustrating and I know everyone says the weight will eventually come off but why so darn slow.

Whoa!!   Calorie-burning vibration sessions??  You got totally ripped off - call and see if you can get your money back - there is no vibrating machine that will burn calories on YOUR body.  YOU have to exert effort to burn calories.  It sounds like you need more intense exercise, or longer sessions.  Try one hour a day of a higher intensity cardio.

So what you are saying is more exercise and not increase the calories.?

The vibration machine is more for cellulite reduction, my friend did it and it worked well for her. I just asked if it burned calories and they told me 300. i didn't buy my package based on calorie reduction. I have only had 3 sessions so I will see after my 12 if any cellulite is reduced My friend lost 15 inches all over so can't go wrong with that even if the weight stays the same.

Thanks for the reply

more exercise. I have to work out at least five times per week for an hour or I don't see a darn budge in anything.

No - if you aren't losing, eating MORE would have the opposite effect.

More exercise is what you need.  Also, there is nothing external that you can do, to affect cellulite - it's simply fat, nothing more.  Good luck though. Smile

I agree with more intensive exercise, perhaps biking or the eliptical.
