Hi, everyone! I am 32 weeks and just found out yesterday that I am way over the expected weight gain. I started at 130 and am at 174 and am about 5'3". I knew eating ice cream almost every night and not getting much exercise was going to take its toll, but I feel really bad about it and am now counting the calories and adding 45 minutes of walking every night. Starting today.
With 8 weeks to go, I am concerned about all the additional pounds...any advice?
Thanks...and congratulations to all of you!
Jenny
Hi there,
Now is really not the time to make drastic changes to your lifestyle sweetheart. Extra walking is fine, but make sure you don't skimp on calories in the next few months. Your fat cells store more than just fat and can contain toxins that you have ingested which are then released into your bloodstream. I would just try to maintain your weight, and don't worry if you put on another 5lb or so as that will just be baby growing.
You'll be able to lose the weight no probablem afterwards so long as you breastfeed. Good luck. xx
