how much weight have you gained since age 18?
who's heard the theory that women should strive to weigh what they did at 18? what do you think about it? is it realistic? healthy?
how much weight have YOU gained since high school?
About 640 lbs. Every winter I gain 20 lbs and every summer I lose them.
At 18 I was 190.
I'm now 167.
I gained up to 250 in betwen then and now, but I weigh less than I ever did in High School.
I weigh what I weighed when I was 13.
What part of the year?
At the beginning of year 18 I was around 110lbs or so. Maybe less. By the time the year was over, I was 136 -_-;;
Now I'm 122lbs...
I would like to be 110lbs again, sure, but I remember I still felt awfully fat so my current goal is 100lbs instead.
i don't know what i weighed at 18, but i'd guess it was under 115. it would be completely unrealistic and unhealthy for me to try to get back to that weight (i'm 5'8").
i'm not like tom; my weight gain was very slow and progressive. so i guess between 18 and 37 i gained over 50 pounds (most of it after 30). but now i'm down almost 30 of those, so i'm doing well ;)
I agree with trhawley. Maybe it was only 600. Some winters I was dead broke and living off of yogurt. Didn't gain much weight those years. I made up for it other years though. I weighed about 130 when I graduated from high school. I am aiming for less now. I would be happy with 130 right now however.
Aged 18 I was 147, around my highest weight. Aged 33 I am 140.
The lowest I ever got to was 126, a year ago.
i weigh less now than i ever did in highschool
but i'm 23 so
I'm up from 126 to 219 since I was 18 :S
Around then I got my first job - admin/desk work. And my boss said "Your gonna gain like 20 pounds" the bastard was right and I didn't stop gaining until the begining of Feb. Now I'm working abck down to hopefully my 18 yr old weight. I'm 5'2" so that's a healthy normal weight for me.
well im almost 20 now but im about 50 pounds lighter than i was at around 17-18...Ive always weighed myself but never really found the will power to do anything about it until then. I still kick myself over not taking better care of my self when i was younger.
At age 18 (10 years ago) I was probably around 115lbs. I am 5'3" so technically that is in my weight range, but I wouldn't want to get down to that anymore. I am currently at 140lbs after 2 kids. My goal is 125-130lbs. I don't want to look like I am 18 years old :)
I gained about 110 pounds past my weight at age 18 (most of it between ages 24-36). I've lost 55 pounds, and will lose another 20-25, but my weight at age 18 is totally unrealist for me. I was 94-96 pounds. My boobs and hips didn't fill out until about 20. In my early 20s, I weighed between 120 and 125. That's what I want to get back to.
More seriously, I weighed 155 when I graduated high school, age 17. I weighed 160 in the fall of 2007 at 49 years old. I typically try to maintain 170 and I have been as high as 215.
I weighed about 125 (5'8") when I was 18. I weigh about 134 now at age 26 and my goal is to get down to 129.
well, i weighed about 240-250 when i was 18, so im not striving for that. im striving for around 140-150 lbs which is probably (no joke) what i weighed when i was around 7 years old. since im only 20 now, ive probably only gained about 10 lbs since i was 18 and ive lost 35.
I was probably around 115 when I entered college. I'm around 125 now (4 years later). However, I also got jacked in those years, so I doubt 115 would be possible for me anymore.
uhhh, can you please define jacked?
i don't think i've ever heard that term!
Honestly if it was a healthy weight then no I don't see having a desire to get back to that weight being a problem.
For it being realistic... honestly yes. If you take the proper steps to lose and don't do anything drastic and harmful sure. If you weigh double and expect to be back down in 6 months.. then no, that's not.
Personally... No I don't want to weight what I did when I graduated. I wasn't a healthy weight at all, even for my short height. I was 97# then and now I'm on my way back down to 120s. I feel best there. Got about 30# left to go, after being 15# away and then adding another 60 to it from an injury and extended recovery period from complications.

I feel so naive...never heard that one before! Or maybe it's just some crazy Canadian slang :P
I took it to mean muscle-y, as in "After 6 months of training with NROLFW, she was totally jacked!"

Yep, this is my deal too! I was probably 240 when I was 18; I ballooned up to nearly 300 and then lost down to under 160 at one point. Right now I'm hovering around 177, would like to be 150 but it's a number I don't think I've seen since I was maybe 10?
