Weight lifting routine

Quote  |  Reply

I need to lift weights! I'm a runner and I think my muscles have grown accustomed to my running and my metabolism has slowed due to being used to them. I want to get strong but I don't have a super long time. What are some good exercises to do with dumbells and things that I can do for strength training/toning just around the house or using household objects?

Would squats holding my 23 pound baby out in front of me be helpful at al? LOL

Umm off the top of my head squats lunges (either a dumbell or a couple soda bottles in a shopping bag works) leg raises (lay on your back and lift your legs off the ground and hold for 10 seconds then let them  back down) this would also work the abs.  Check out the fitness faq at the top of this forum also.

Hi,

Push-ups and pull-ups, are some good options too.

regards,

Guillermo.

i give up bsh.

this is absolute horse-s*$t listening to you.

on one forum you ask umpteen questions about getting your period back, even resorting to stupid chinese herbs. the advice you were given was to cut out physical activity for a while.

then you come on here - looking to do more physical activity to speed up your metabolic rate.

i dont get it. i dont get what you want from the community here. but this irks me. on a personal level i like you - a lot. but this is waffle and im sick of reading it

because i'm looking for STRENGTH TRAINING? whatever fidget, i was recommended strength training a long time ago and didn't do it, and now i'm looking for a good routine
