How much weight did you lose in January?
Sometimes I think shows like the Biggest Loser have created unrealistic expectations about losing weight. So I thought I'd start a thread to see what folks who actually have to work and cook their own food and live in the real world lost in January. I am also curious to know the average loss per month from folks who have lost consistently over the long term. Anyhow, for me:
SW (Jan. 5) : 205.4,
EW (ending weight): 200.8:
Total lost in January: 4.6.
SW Jan. 1 198 lbs.
Weight on Feb. 2 184 lbs.
14 pound loss in January. Due to the Master Cleanse fast for the first 12 days, then keeping calories between 1300 - 1500 per day. Also RIGOUROUS exercise, an hour of freestyle swimming daily plus another hour of cardio and weight training at the gym 3 times a week, plus the regular stuff I do like gardening and pruning and outside work. Determined to beat my body at the holding-on-to-every-ounce game once and for all.
I am 5' 5" and have a BMI of 30.29 I just turned 60 years old and have a stubborn metabolism that wants me to be fat. I've had it! I plan to beat it with strict watching calories and lots of exercise. I am going to wrestle this body to the mat!

Weighing in again tomorrow morning, hoping for another pound.
Okay I weighed in and I'm down to 143.2, which brings me down to 4.8 pounds for January.
In January I started my serious attempt at getting back to my previous weight of about 185. I started the month out at about 225 pounds. As of this morning when I weighed in I was at 212.5 pounds. I'm super stoked, and hope to keep on losing.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
