There's some big losers on this thread. Have you all noticed that?

Sarah - You lost another 2 pounds; that is terrific! So you already made your goal, and there's still a week to go. Awesome!

Simar - 1.5 pounds lost at TTOM is super good! How much is that for JUly so far?
yay for excercise!

I had to move myself out of my apartment yesterday...all by myself! My dad helped me a week ago by moving my bed, chair and table, but he left the rest of the stuff for me to do.

It took about a half hour to get everything into boxes/garbage bags, and one hour of hauling it from the apartment to the van.  I must mention that my apartment is 2 stories so i had to go down 1 flight of stairs to get out of my apartment and then down another to get to the parking lot!

Tonight my job is to move everything from the van to my room at home, which will be up another flight of stairs. It's tough work, but i'm sure i will see it pay off on the scale this week!

Hello. My name is Keenia. I am 240lbs and 5'7". I have been trying to lose weight forever and I am embarassed and almost ready to quit trying and just "get the surgery". I really do not want to but it is really hard. Any good tips?
hi keenia!

I would suggest you start slow. set one or two goals for each week and slowly adding goals each week until they all become a habit.

I started my first week by committing to drinking 6-8 glasses of water each day, the next week i started eating at least 4 servings of veg/fruit each day, the next i started counting calories etc. etc.

I think it helps to ease yourself in, so that you can have success from the beginning. And my number one bit of advice would be not to let one meal sabotage you. If you mess up and eat a really bad meal just get back on track with the next thing you eat. Don't let yourself be bad for the whole day, or that whole week just because of one bad meal. The quicker you get back on track the less that one meal will affect you in the long run. And less face it, all of us mess up once in a while!

Good luck! and don't forget to post if you have more questions!

Thanks Pam for all your support well my total loss for this month is 9.5 lbs .hopefully next week will be better as Im trying to  start Pilates(winsor) DVD at home after my TTOM is over. DO you have any suggestions for it
Sarah - Feeling better, a little bit as far as the UTI is concerned, but waited too long to take my pain pills today, so I'm hurtin pretty bad all over right now. Thanks for asking.

Simar - 9.5 pounds so far this month is sensational, especiall with TTOM. I have absolutely NO knowledge of Pilates at all. Sorry I can't help with that. Good luck to you.

Hi All

I  crave for chocolate at the TTOM and cant restrict to one or two pieces what shd  I do?
Simar - what the heck are  you doing up at this time of night? If you can't control yourself and just have one or two pieces, then I would suggest that you try not to have any at all, but if you have any, try having the dark or extral Dark (hershey's is my favorite. The make them in individually wrapped squares)
Hello everyone....hope eveyone is doing good on the weight loss.  I weighed myself yesterday and lost a pound (i weigh myself every monday).  I wish it would have been better but one pound is better than nothing....right!?!?!?!

I've decided to add an extra step to my weight loss plan (this goes along with what Patrasha said...add a new commitment each week).... i was walking at least 3 - 4 days a week for about an hour per day, this week i'm adding some cardio along with my walking.  We'll see how that goes.

Keep up the great work everybody!!!!!
Hopeful - Congrats on your 1 pound weight loss this week. Keep up the good work!
ummmmmmm dark chocolate.  YUM.  *drooling*
I found an Anytime Workout place near me that I am considering joining.  I thought about buying workout equipment but I dont have any room to put it.  I am going there tomorrow to have a tour.  I hope it doesnt cost a lot.  Does anyone here know of this franchise?
As far as chocolate cravings, I'd go for chocolate something as opposed to just chocolate candy. I always want chocolate milk or Yoohoo, and it's a lot more satisfying to me than a tiny piece of candy. Or get a piece of chocolate cake, etc. It takes longer to eat than candy, and it will fill you up more. Chocolate candy is really dense in calories, too, and I'd rather spend calories on something bigger! Also, if you need candy, try a penny candy store, or somewhere where you can buy just a few pieces at a time, not a whole bag. If you have that whole bag, you'll be tempted to keep eating from it.
Congratulations on your weight loss Hopeful!

I like Patrasha's suggestion too! Gonna try it!

Clwhit-Where's my twin?
Speaking of chocolate, has anyone tried the deep chocolate muffins by Vitamuffin? They are 100 calories and delicious! They satisfy my chocolate cravings since they have chocolate chips in them that get gooey and yummy when the muffins are heated up. They also have something like 6g of fiber and are vitamin-fortified (hence the name Vitamuffin!). They are in the freezer section of the natural foods area of Raley's supermarket, but I am sure other places carry them. The downside is the cost. They are around $6 for a box of 4! I justify it as an alternative to a muffin at Starbucks, which would cost as much and be much less healthy for me. They also have brownies!
Thank you Humorpam and Lorabear.

Chocolate is definitely one of my weaknesses.  I love those milk chocolate Lindt lindor truffles.....so yummy!!!!!!!
Wow do I feel good.  I just got back from 90 min of swimming in a near by lake.   996 calories in 90 min of fun.  Gotta love that
Hi Lorabear....Started back to work this week. Pooped. How are you doing?
