Hello, I'm looking for others trying to lose a lot of weight, to keep each other motivated threw our bad days and cheer us on on our great days! to keep each other going threw out the week by staying in touch. I want people who want to reach there goal weight and wont quit tell we reach them! who's with me?!?!

clwhit-Back to work huh. Doesn't sound like fun. How is everything going? Summer is going to fast! They called to schedule bus driver physicals yesterday. The start of school is coming (Truthfully, I really miss my kids.)
I am getting ready to go camping for a week. Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to stay on track while on vacation?

How fun camping for a week. I havnt been camping for ages. I wouldnt have a clue what to bring...but I wish you lots of fun!
Glad to see everyone doing so good. Well I broke down and had a few cookies last night with some milk. But at least I only had like four and not the whole bag which I could have easily done. But it I am back on track this morning.
Good morning all. Just wanted to let you know that I officially lost 20 pounds so far. I'm proud of myself. =)
What I'm a tad worried about though, is that fact that I've only been on this diet for 6 weeks. 20 pounds seems to be a bit fast for that amount of time.
Anywho: How is everyone doing today? Anyone have anything good planned for the weekend??

So far today I am still on track. Saturday I am going out to dinner so I hope I can manage to stay on the plan.

Lora: Even if the restaurant doesn't have a "low fat" section, I found that there's always something that I know is better for me than the rest (barring salad, because I hate eating salad for dinner). The hardest part is actually ordering the better stuff. haha.
I'm going to Philly for 4 days this weekend and I know I'm not going to stay on my diet. Or at least not full swing. Plus I know I'm going to go back on track on Tuesday and I refuse to make myself feel bad about knowing I'm going to be "not great", or sometimes "not even close to good". haha I'll do what I can to stay within my maintenance calories but that's about it. =)
Come Tuesday, my nose is back to the proverbial grindstone. =)

Lorabear - thanks for the vitamuffin tip! I will check it out! Camping is hard for me because there are always chips and cookies!! I always bring sugar free hot chocolate. There are fat-free and low-fat hot dogs you could bring.. I guess my recommendation would be to not worry about salt while you are camping because there are lots of things like pretzels and beef/turkey jerky that are great for low cal but high in salt. Skim string cheese is a great snack too.

I think your going about it the right way too. Buy not depriving yourself of eating things you like sometimes and knowing ya just have to get back ontrack when its over I'm the same way if I know we are going to a food outting I plan ahead watch what I eat before hand and eat what I want while I'm there without going nuts and then get back on track the very next day.

I weighed today and another 2lbs gone! I am so excited!

Hi you guys! I just want to tell you to not lose hope. I was 210 pounds four years ago and now im around 140's. It is a very hard journey but its worth it. Im still struggling with the weight issue tho. Exercise is an important ingredient to weight loss tho. Good luck to everyone!!

Hi everyone! I was wondering if you had room for one more? I have lost a total of 36 lbs in the past year and I still have 125 lbs to go. I think the support would help considerably! My husband works nights and I am home alone ... with a tendency to snack when I shouldn't. :(

Boy do I know what you are talking about! My husband works and night too and I find it is the hardest time to not eat. I find myself grazing and I know I am not hungry.

That is exactly the problem - I have been trying to drink some tea at night to keep myself from snacking ... but then the dreaded "if no one sees, it didn't happen" mentality creeps up. I think that mentality has haunted me my whole life.
