Hello, I'm looking for others trying to lose a lot of weight, to keep each other motivated threw our bad days and cheer us on on our great days! to keep each other going threw out the week by staying in touch. I want people who want to reach there goal weight and wont quit tell we reach them! who's with me?!?!
I am 5'3 and weigh 217 pounds, my goal weight is 127lbs by May 30th of 209

I totally get the desire to be thinner than others! Since I have been a teenager, I have never been "the thin friend", I want to be soooo badly. I went to a good friend's wedding this summer and, of course, she is beautiful and slender. However, like a lot of brides do, she went on about gaining weight and being "fat". I love her, but wanted to smack her.... I at least want to be like her!
Roadblock! I am going to a cookout tomorrow for the new teachers in our department... trying to keep it light in preparation... Wish me luck!
Side note... You know, it seems like when I post on a thread, I usually end up on the next (new) page..... just odd.... :)

I've had a great day with eating. So we shall see how the weekend goes. Don't have much going on so it should be a great time to start my work out!

Also.. .if you eat something GOOD before you get there... low cal... and filling... you'll know you already ate...
I have that problem on weekends... especially after a drink or two... I think... but I REALLY am hungry!!! and there's nothing here to eat but pizza, so I guess...
But now I've gotten to the point of telling myself... "Uh, look here, lady... You're NOT going to starve to death! You're just hungry... Get over it... no food for you!" *lol*
Ok, speaking of carrots... Is it just me, or do they grow when you chew them? I swear they do. It's like I can never get rid of the first bite! So.. I usually end up feeding my carrots to the squirrel.... She eats them like corn-on-the-cob. lol
I also just stocked up on Slim fast Optima bars- at between 100 and 140 cals per bar, you can't go wrong. Plus... they have CHOCOLATE in them... !!

I took my two boys school shopping this past week and we got everything but the shoes and I had to tell my oldest the same thing that he would have to wait a another week or so and he didnt care either way he hates shopping for clothes he would be fine if went without him and picked them all out for him lol
Well, did good at my sis place last night so I'm happy. I love those 100 cal paks too great for when I get the hungerpains at night and want to munch.

Hi sadabouthis - sounds like you are doing much better today. keep up the sprits and keep on doing what your doing. Forget about that date and show him that you are better than what he deserves!
I have learned like you to turn off the TV! I use to have it on all the time and even if I wasn't watching the TV, it was on. I would spend more time sitting and not getting nothing done but eating. Every time a commercial came on it would make me hungry.
Someone on here suggested to do all the stuff you never get around to doing. ( Sorry I don't remember who off hand.) I would get bored and eat. Now I make a list of the things that need to be done and when I think I am hungry or bored I look at the list and start doing something off the list.

Just checking in. Last night I had a dancing show (ukie dancing) at a wedding and we were invited to stay for drinks and the sweet table. Instead of stuffing my face with cakes, I had watermelon wedges and strawberries. And ONE alcoholic beverage. So, pretty proud of that small victory.
How's everyone else been?
I don.t know where everyone has been. Busy I guess because sure has been dead this weekend.
I am doing good so far. Still watching what I eat and trying to exercise. Waiting to hear from my twin clwhit.
I was looking back at how many people have joined this group and we never hear from them. I wonder how they are doing?

I found out that now, eating high fat foods is actually going to make me ill. Way to keep me on a diet, huh?
I have to get an abdominal cat-scan later this week and I'm not happy about it.
BUT I lost a pound this week and I'm happy that I didn't plateau like it looked like I was going to.
