Hello, I'm looking for others trying to lose a lot of weight, to keep each other motivated threw our bad days and cheer us on on our great days! to keep each other going threw out the week by staying in touch. I want people who want to reach there goal weight and wont quit tell we reach them! who's with me?!?!

I am 5'3 and weigh 217 pounds, my goal weight is 127lbs by May 30th of 209

Hi everyone!! How is everyone doing? Good job at the bbq Jess I am proud of you also! Stress majorly happening over here- I have a 9 yr old girl and a 6 yr old son- once again my ex husband did not show for his visitation yesterday- as promised- but instead of going for the ice cream in the fridge-I took the kids out on the lawn read books to them and had a sugar free popsicle- hey ya know what the kids don't even know they have no sugar in them! I am an emotional eater for sure- and now that I have targeted it I am sure to stop before bingeing! Hope you all have a great day-I am off to take a walk with kids down to the their school-get them pumped up to go back- It is only 3 blocks up and I vowed to them and myself that I will walk them every morning and pick them up after school every day-

Hey sad... so totally proud of you!   Way to do something OTHER than eat when it's stressful for you!   You have been doing so well.  You must feel so great that you've chosen to make a commitment and you're doing it for sure.  Great job.

To the rest of you with weight losses and bbq success, way to go.

I drank a bunch this weekend... but basically stayed within my calories... and my food choices were excellent (I knew I was going to drink this weekend... so it's not like this was a "slip" of some sort).  I kept up the exercising and feel AWESOME...

Oh my goodness - what a week I had! Tomorrow is the start of a new school year. This is always a busy time of year. This year, however, was more challenging than most as my secretary of 17 years retired last Wednesday and I have 6 new teachers on board. On top of that, we've registered 203 new students since July 30th. That's an average of 20.3 students per day! I've been working 14-15 hour days and am exhausted! My salvation is knowing that this busy time is short lived. Unfortunately, my food has not been the best the past two days. While I did not overdo it, I certainly did not eat the healthy meals I've been accustomed to this past month. My weigh-in was Saturday and I'm still at a standstill - did not gain nor did I lose. This has gone on for two weeks!

Lorabear, yes I'm still here and still alive Ü -just haven't been online in a few days. Sounds as though things are going well for you. Way to go!

Congrats on all the weight loss. I weighed this morning because I started a challenge and I am up 3lbs. I have no idea why. I ate a little more on Sat. but not 3lbs worth. I also went shopping so did a bunch of walking. Yesterday I did alot of work around the house and ate really good and drank a ton of water.

Hey Sdaboutthis- Sounds like you have the right mind set. Good for you keep going! Those sugar free popsicles are good

clwhit- Good to hear from you. WOW sounds like you are going to be busy and making a lot of changes at your school. We are losing students at our school because of the economy in Michigan and especially in this area. There have been several cut back in teachers and most other areas. Maybe when things settle down more you will get back on schedule and eat healthier. Keep trying! Standsills are better than gaining but sure can be depressing.

Lora:  Caloriecount-plus has a whole different set up than the old version. It gives you all sorts of different options and I think it's easier to navigate.

What I also thought was interesting: You can make a date on the original to "hit your goal". The new website will take what weight you've lost, average it out and give you an estimated date based on how you've been losing.

Like, the new site says I can possibly hit my "goal" by March of '08 instead of September, like the original site said was feasible.

trapp  I know... isn't that weird?// I'm up a pound and a half since Friday... my calories were pretty good... around 1700... my problem was I was eating 1200 cals in food and drinking the other 500 never good... still not happy to have "gained"... but I think sometimes we have to roll with the punches.. this is a lifestyle... and if we really continue to do what we're supposed to do... over the long run we feel healthier... and better... and that scale is only ONE measurement of MANY and not even the most IMPORTANT one...  there's inches, there's your clothing... but more than that is how much better do you FEEL day by day... so just keep pluggin' away... and at some point  the silly scale will agree.

reb I like that on cc2... I also like the li'l thumbs up at the bottom of the page...and...  (maybe this is because I'm a teacher... ) I LOVE being graded... I've gotten an A every day for nutrition since I started recording on this site... that makes me VERY happy because I'm a goober!   *lol*

and yes... to all the people in education out there... school doesn't start for me until next week...  five days of inservice... and then the dreaded freshmen return... one more week of me time... and I'm gonna enjoy!

Great job on your good choices sad. I'm gonna walk my son to school this yr too tell its to cold out and its also about 3 blks one way for me so that will help keep me motivated to keep working out, I hope . Too bad were not neighbors :)

Trapp I so agree with ya! why is it so easy to GAIN 3 or 4 pounds in ONE DAY but yet it takes a WEEK to lose it!!!! ugh  I am going threw the same thing today, last night we went out for dinner at the Olive Garden (we hardly ever go out to dinner)  and I didnt get the best thing for me, but didnt get the worst either and I had water to drink and some snacks before bed and ate well during the day and I gained 3 pounds as of this morning, in one day!!! ugh so that means lots of water and working out everyday this week!! I have to if I want to see any progress! UGH! I hate the battle of the buldge!

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while because I just started a new job, and after not working or being in college for three months, my time is all suddenly taken up. I've stopped logging my food for the time being, since I have so much less time, but I've still been watching what I eat.

I have learned so much on CC about how caloric everything I eat is, that I feel I've been making good choices. I may have even been eating less than I was when I logged, because I'm not saying "hmm, I have a couple hundred calories left in the budget, I'll eat some cake." You know? A little bit of uncertainty could be good, because it's made me pretty cautious.

Also, being at work all day helps, because I plan in advance what to bring for lunch/snacks, and that's all I eat all during work (other than coffee w/ splenda.) I think it's working out well, and I've lost a pound this week, so I'm pleased.
Way to go shoe!   I'm actually looking forward to going back to work for the same reason...more structure!

Me too, I find work great, when I do mess up its usually on the weekends.

I also am not so good about the food logs, but I am good about the foods I eat.

I wish I could be safantasia!   If I don't log... I think  "Oh, just a bite of cake won't kill me... Neither will a handful of nuts... or so what if I put just a little butter on my toast."

I unfortunatley trick myself if I don't log...  I even log *ugggh* the BAD days... the 6000 calorie days... BUT I think doing that makes them few and far between!   *lol*

I OPENED THE DOOR AND EVERYTHING ON THE DOOR FELL ON THE FLOOR! What a mess! And I just cleaned the floor too. Law of Murphy!

Now I am counting to 10 and venting so I don’t eat out of anger or stress before I clean everything up!

Talking about food logs and tracking everything we eat. Isn't  that part of the idea that we also keep track of the bad days?

Congrats everyone! We. Will. Lose. This. Weight. We've been fantastic so far! One or two slip ups is nothing. We laugh in the face of these obstacles!

Glad to see the thread has picked up somewhat- it was pretty dead over the weekend!

ABSOLUTELY on logging the bad days.  I just recently switched to logging everything here...  I used to keep it on fit day... and they had a whole bunch of reports... one of them included bar graphs, etc. and you could look back at calories burned vs. calories eaten...

I had one day... about a month ago... where I ate 8500 calories... (that was a different woman than I am today... :-)  ) ANyway... every day, I would check calories burned vs. calories eaten and look at that HUGE bar... it took me three WEEKS to even back out where I was burning more calories than I ate...so I'll have to log for the rest of my life... I know this about me, but it's a small price to pay for good health!

Thank you everybody. I feel much better. Nivy I needed a hug.

Tamarascholtz-Sorry, but WOW 8500 calories... You have come a long ways.

Yesterday wasn't my best day. My daughter in law made brownies and I ate tWO of them. Oh well back on track today.
