Sorry I haven't been around much everyone, been in and out of pain with my teeth. Yesterday I went to the dentist to see what needs to be done and one needs to be pulled and maybe the other one too, both are wisdom teeth and my Top one is the one giving me the pain. thank goodness for pain pills! so when they kick in I do my workouts and have been very good about it and yesterday I ate some Halloween candy and then worked out some more to work it off so no guilt today =) lol I hope everyone has a great day and.. Eat Good and Move!![]()
Hi everybody!!! I haven't weighed in today - bloaty "Aunt Flo" is visiting. bleh.
I think tomorro will be better - "Its another day", you know. Halloween has been hard, I love the holiday, the kids look fantastic, but the Butterfingers are calling me. I am staying within my calories, so - thank God for Fun Size. and I haven't binged. (!!!!!)
I echo our emerging battle cry "Hang in there!!"
Okie Dokie, I need help. I weighed in at home - 235 lbs.!!! Then I ate breakfast, had 2 cups of tea, put on workout clothes and weighed in at the gym 248... hmmmmm. Now you gals know that the weight is the difference from being severely obese to just plain obese. But do I trust either reading??? Help!!!! My DH put a 5 lb free weight on the scale at home and it weighs 5 lbs.
I have been weighing at the gym for the meters here on the site. That means I only lost a pound this week for real. And I didn't meet my goal of 247 for the end of October- one pound short. one the other hand, I Did have candy for Halloween..... grrr.
Get up and move sweeties!!!!
Hey!!! Where are you all??!!
Oh! your up and moving!!! Yea!!!
Hey Kate!
You've got to just pick a scale and stick with it. That is a huge difference, and it's really annoying (Wondering what you REALLY weigh?) but the most important thing is that the same scale numbers are going down. I'd probably pick the home one, since the gym one is used by lots of people and could be miscalibrated. (Not to mention, you like the answer better.) Hope that helps!
Thank Shoe!! I think you are right!!
Trapp!!! Just remember that this too shall pass, it won't last forever. Think about this moment. At this moment you can embark on a new fresh start!!! The past is in the past!! I have been there, you can turn it around and put one foot in front of the other, one minute at a time. Start small and work up!!
Good morning!!!!
Get up and move!!!!! Lets all make good food choices!!!
Thanks for the encouraging words, Kate!
The best part of falling off the wagon is knowing you can get back on again!!
(Raising the water glass to toast) Here's to a better day, for all of us!
I had a fun time grocery shopping last night, because I went to a different store in the next town and explored. I highly recommend doing that once in a while, when you're bored with what you're eating and need some inspiration.
I found some low-calorie "half and half" from Hood, called Simply Smart. I brought it to work for my coffee, so I hope it's a good replacement - I've been racking up a couple hundred calories just on cream on tired days, so this should be a big help. I also picked up some diet hot chocolate mix, since the cruddy weather makes me crave it, and and some different kinds of tea.
It's raining and very dreary out, here in Massachusetts today. I actually feel rather cozy here at work!
Hello Ladies,
Thanks for the great words Kate and Trapp keep pluggin away today is a new day and you will get over this bump k.
I'm doing ok with the teeth gone. Now it just hurts a little, but its alot better then before . I have been doing good with eating and working out but I can do better with eating and I intend to. I am going to weigh in this Friday being that ttom is over with now and I can get a more accurate weigh in so I am looking forward to Friday and just want it to be under 192 !!!
Hey Trapp,
Just in case you don't know, Chili's has a "Guiltless Grill" on their menu, and it lists the calories. The stuff still isn't that low-cal (600 or so) but at least it's right there on the menu and you can choose knowledgeably! And drink water with your lunch. :-)
Good Morning Friends!!!!
I had a great workout this morning and am feelin' the buzz!!! I want you to feel it too!!! Get up and Move!!!!!!!!
Be careful around all of those calories lurking round the corner!!!
"Be careful around all of those calories lurking round the corner!!!"
Yes, this is the time of year when "comfort foods" take on new identities! We crave warm, hearty, stick-to-your-ribs food to overcome the cold dreariness of winter. And we look forward to the Happy Holiday foods to cheer us!
Soups, stews, chilis, casseroles....let's challenge ourselves to come up with healthier, lower cal versions of our favorites. Holiday "treats" can't make us feel as good as treating ourselves right by eating well & exercising! And remember, we need to "treat" our families healthy too!!
Hello! I'm new to the site, and was wondering if i could join in on your thread?
I bit about me....top weight 385+
I just weighed in today and for the first time in i don't know how long I am below 300#!!!! at 296.6 It was so good to see that number.....next mini goal is to get into the 280 range, step by step.
Ultimate goal is to try on the 160's and see how my body likes it.
Hang in there everyone, remember we've got to groove it to lose it!
Then there's some personal stuff going on with a friend and I don't know.. It's just been a long week I guess.
AND I'm not feeling so well today. It's stomach pains, but not nausea. Just uncomfortable I guess. *sad face*
I'm still eating well though. I'm at 209.5 so I've only got like 10 pounds left until I break through the 200's!!!
49.5 pounds to lose til I hit my 160 and I've already lost 61.5 lbs since June... I guess I should be more positive that I've accomplished something this year, even if I don't feel like it.
Sometimes it's OK totext in a restaurant.
