I went shopping today and got some laughing cow cheese for the first time ever and tried it and love it! yum yum, its so nice to find new things that taste good and are low in calories, I also got 4 bags of 100 cal english muffins to freeze I bet the two would taste great together and it would only be about 135 calories not bad for a yummy brkfst in the morning and fast too. It doesnt take much to get me excited now does it!? lol
I hope your all having a great week and are moving! ta ta for now~
Well this is ridiculous. Where is everyone? Kate is the last to post on Jan 17? Where is all the people who are suppose to motivate each other? HELP I NEED MOTIVATION!
We have a snow day today so...... No School! No School! yea! Hope everyone are having a wonderful day. Sara How was your laughing Cow Cheese? Sorry about your husband's Mom. When my Mom passed away the kids all made cards. They must have told them that I lost my Mom because one of the kids wrote "Sorry you lost your Mom I hope you find her."
Welcome back Nivy!
I heard yesterday was the top most suicidal day of the year. Now that is depressing.
Lora
Hey Humorpam are you having a bad day? Did you go to the Mayo Clinic yet? I have been keeping you in my prayers.
Welcome prettyquick. I think most of us have tried several diet plans and failed in the past. Keep a positive outlook and try to make life style changes and healthy choices. Keep track of your calories and what you burn only you can decide how many calories are right for you. I would stick with 1600-1800 cal. and try it.

Well, after the second course of antibiotics, I believe I'm finally over the sinus infection! And not a moment too soon, as the wedding is just 10 days away!
We have spent a lot of time planning our ceremony to be one of Unity...between us, with our families, friends, community and, our Lord and God! A traditional Christian wedding with some very special, personal messages and music. We're really looking forward to this celebration!
Our honeymoon itinerary is coming together nicely too. A stop in Akron, OH to visit a special chapel and friends who are also soon to marry. Then to Cincinnati to see the Creation Museum. Next stop, Memphis to see Graceland )always loved Elvis's Gospel stuff). Along the Natchez Trace to New Orleans, where we'll be doing some post-Katrina volunteer work. It's over 2 years, and there's still so much to be done! And a new word has been coined for this sort of thing, "voluntourism"!
I may not post often, but you always are in my thoughts & prayers!
I worked out so hard today that my thighs are killing me now but hey I know I burned some calories.
Lora I loved the cheese it was so yummy!! I have it about once a day now, the garlic one is my fav one.
Have a great day everyone and keep moving!!! move move move!!!
Sara where do you get the laughing cow cheese at? I have been looking for it and can't find it.
Hi! I'm new, I hope you have room for one more. My name is Julie, I am 40 years old, 5'7" and weigh 260 pounds. I joined yesterday, but have already been exercising for a week. I walked at such a good pace today that my calves hurt. I have been walking 2 miles every other day and riding a recumbent bike on the off days.
My dad has always seen me for who I am, my mum is thin and has always been thin. I wish for once that she could look behond my weight and see that their is a person here and that my feelings are the same as anyone elses. I don't see my parents too often, I live 7 hours away from them. Last summer when I went for a visit, after a 7 hour drive, the first words out of my mums mouth were I see you haven't lost any weight. It made me want to get back into the car with my 5 yr old son and come home again. But I bit my lip and stayed. I made 2 trips to the Hersheys Chocolate factory while I was there and enjoyed every mouthfull.
But now I am ready to lose the weight. I want to be able to chase my son around and do all the activities that he wants to do. I got into kayaking last summer and can't wait for the weather to warm up to go again.
Its great to read everyones hopes and dreams. Keep up the good work, we know we can do it and we will!

Hi Julie!! remember to take baby steps ...start slowly and work your way, the soreness will wear off!
Lorabear, I'm sorry I haven't been around, and everyone else too...we had an icestorm and so my daughter was home from school and our schedule was completely thrown off, snow projected for tonight. I got a good workout in today and it felt so good!! It hurt for the first 3 minutes, then I loosened up!! My arthritic knees don't hurt nearly as much now that I am moving. I know that I hurts to even think about it sometimes, but it really has helped me a lot!!
I am thinking about you all, positive thoughts being sent in your directions!!! Love energy!! postive energy!!
HI everyone! I had a HARD workout today...a friend invited me while I was minding my own business on the elliptical ..... I think that I will be quite sore tomorro sorry to say. I am choosing not to be down hearted but starting something new, I found out today that I am not in great shape muscle wise. But, I am on a new road, and I know that it will be good in the long run.
I hope that you all are doing well!!
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm almost in the 180's now and I hit my 80 pound loss 1 pound ago. =) Everything seems to be going fairly well around here even though it's freezing.
Kriss, you must be soo excited about the wedding. I'm excited for you!!!
WOW Rebepi !!! You are looking good Congratulation.
Welcome mchulie, I feel your pain I have been there with ya. Maybe your mom's reaction will help to motivate you. Kayaking sounds like so much fun. How did you get involved in that?
Hi Kate welcome back from the deep freeze! It is 7 degrees here and snowy.![]()
Seems like everyone is working out hard lately. Must be trying to work off the Holidays weight gain.
I uploaded a picture of my granddaughter's quilt I have been working on if anyone is interested. IT"S JUST WILD! ![]()

Hi Lorabear!
My husband and I rented kayaks last summer while on a camping vacation. We liked it so much we rented them the next day. Then I bought the one that I rented and he bought a new version of the one that he rented. His is a double, so our son Andrew-he is 5 and go with him. Its great, very relaxing and you get a great workout from it and you get to see nature closer than ever.
As for my mum motivating me, I eat more when I am with her just to piss her off. I am doing this for me. I want to be able to run like the wind and never be out of breath.
Well I haven't worked out yet today. I had to take Andrew to the Dr's, I slept in, which I never do and my whole day has been out of whack since. I will ride my recumbent bike after my dinner has settled.
Its great to have support on here.

Lora I like your idea from your past posts about listing veggies.
I have have a 3 cup baby spinach , one stalk of celery and another cup of mixed romaine lettuce mixed together with a blueberry dressing and an orange for lunch. At supper time I ate 2 cups of steamed brocoli. Its hard when I am the only one that eats more than carrots, corn and peas.
Any idea how to cook a sweet potatoe? I bought one cause I heard that they are good for you and high in fiber. But have no clue what to expect.
I'm glad that you don't put up with any crap on your bus! Good for you, I wouldn't put up with it either. I am in Chatham, On. How far am I from you?
Julie
Ya Julie I found out that I ate more vegetables if I had to report it to the group. We all know if you eat your veggies that you won't eat all that junk food.
I live in Deford which is located in the thumb of Michigan about 130 Miles from you.
You can cook sweet potatoes anyway that you cook a regular potato. Except I don't know how well they would taste mixed with other things like in a stew. Try slicing them and putting them in a foil pack with a little pineapple.
Lora
Its true you are right, you do eat more if you have to report them. So far I have had another spinach salad for lunch. 3 cups of the stuff, right now I am munching a carrot as we speak. My little guy wants pizza for dinner and I will limit myself to 1 slice and have a different kind of salad.
I will try cooking the sweet potatoe tomorrow. Thanks!
I have never been to Michigan, but I will one day. We moved here from Prescott, On which was just south of Ottawa about 3 years ago. I used to venture to the states when we lived there. Only cause I knew where I was going. I have a friend here that will come with me to Michigan, she has been many times.
talk soon!
Julie
