Hello, I'm looking for others trying to lose a lot of weight, to keep each other motivated threw our bad days and cheer us on on our great days! to keep each other going threw out the week by staying in touch. I want people who want to reach there goal weight and wont quit tell we reach them! who's with me?!?!

I wasn't so good this weekend and I feel really bad about it. I'm starting to get that "I'm just going to quit" feeling and I want it to go away. I really would like to hit my goal around Sept. of next year but it seems so far away. I can't seem to stop complaining about all of this. I really need a 'buddy' to do this with. I hate having to rely on someone else to motivate me, but that's what's happening right now.

Everyone has bad days. You sound just like me. I do the same thing I have a bad day and then I eat everything I want no matter what it is until I am right back where I started from. I just got to keep telling myself that it is OK to slip up every now and then.

I just weighed in for the week and i'm down 2.6 lbs!!!! YAY ME! This is great considering my gain last week. I am back on track and kicking butt! I have now lost just over 10 lbs total.
My biggest victory this week however was last friday. My friends had a moving away party at Buffalo Wild Wings, and i ate my own dinner before I went! and only had 2 drinks! I am so happy that i didn't break down and order dessert or a meal!

Does anyone have quick and easy meal ideas for hot summer days? I work 9-5 and by the time I walk home from work I'm tired and the 31 degree temperature doesn't make me want to cook. We don't have a BBQ and I find I want to eat less but snack on things that aren't good for me. Any suggestions?

Sarah, I know how frustrating that is, but keep in mind that a woman's weight fluctuates alot from day to day. And you said that you've been working out more, so maybe because of that, you've retained some extra water, and built muscle. So, hang in there. Don't let that discourage you to the point of making poor food choices.

It has been very hard I love food and I always have I had just come to the point were I was feed up because food was controlling my life. I was on the sofa most days all day eating and depressed. I finally said no matter what I was going to loose and get back my life. Since I have lost 55lbs I have so much more energy and I feel alot better about myself. I still have 50lbs to go and there are days when I think I am never going to get there. I try to keep positive but there are days when that is very hard.

Well guys I weighed today and it was 211.2 that is down 3.3 lbs. I am so excited off to a good start!
I hit 250 lbs today! That means I've lost exactly 20 pounds since starting CC! :-)
*Do a dance!!* I lost another 1.5 pounds. Down to 254.5 from 271 (june 11). I'm happy. My goal is to be out of the 250's by the 2nd week in august at the latest. =)
I'm feeling a lot better about dieting today. I turned down chinese food last night and had a really low fat stir fry with a tiny bit of brown rice and a lot of veggies and some chicken.
FYI: I LOVE chinese food with a passion. So I'm proud of myself for walking away.

How often do you all weigh yourselves?
I know you should only do it about once a week- and that's how often I have my weight watchers weigh ins. But out of curiosity alone, i seem to be weighing myself every morning, although I don?t pay too much attention to it because it is always different from my ww one.

Reb-I had a similar situation last night. My husband wanted fried chicken so he went and got some. I had a baked chicken breat instead and I am so proud of myself because I really like fried chicken. But I don't know if I could turn down Chinese food!
Howdy weirdkitty! Glad to have you aboard. Feel free to chime right in. In answer to your question I weigh once a week officially for a challenge I'm in, and another day once a week for another challenge, and then I unofficially weigh every day, just for the grins, (or tears). You are so right that it is better to weigh just once a week, because of weight fluctuation, so you don't get discouraged. I just keep reminding myself that I do fluctuate so I don't get too worked up from day to day. I just look forward to some kind of weight loss by the end of the week.
