Hey everyone!
I'm almost 18, I'm 5 foot 6 inches, and I currently weigh 131 lbs. I've gained 13 lbs. in the last couple months, and I blame the fact that I've started working at a fast-food resturant. hah. I've gotten in the habit of doing simple exercises, like crunches, and I feel the muscle, underneith the fat. :( I want to lose weight and be able to fit into my jeans by August 30th (a month from today). I know it's possible, I just need some really helpful pointers and maybe someone who has the same issue to go through it! Thanks!
Hi!
I totally understand what it is like to gain weight at that age. Your body is changing and I think it is great that you are trying to do strength exercises. You are at a really healthy weight, and don't necessarily need to lose all 13lbs. I suggest to keep doing crunches, lunges, and squats. I have a winsor pilates video that I love. The video uses weights to help tone your arms. I think all that with maybe 30min/day of brisk walking or elliptical should help you to fit into your jeans. Bring healthy snacks with you to work so that way you aren't hungry. Finally, remember that muscle weighs more than fat. So in changing you body composition, your weight may not return to 118lbs, but what is important is that you are strong, healthy, and confident!

Yeah, I know about the whole body changing thing. hahah I also have figured that since muscle does weigh more than fat, that that is mostly why i'm heavier, even though i'm technically not fatter. Thanks for replying! :D
