**Weight Loss Challenge** - New information again

Hello Everyone! I've got a bit of a problem right now. My computer at home shorted out and now my motherboard is fried. I don't have the money to fix the thing right now so I'm not going to be able to run this challenge, as I can't update while I'm at work.

I'm really sorry about this. If I knew it was going to happen, I wouldn't have started this. =)

Please keep in mind the "end weight" is just a random number. It wouldn't let me leave it blank just to track our weight loss. We'll also keep gaining weight if people continue to sign up.

So here is my update:  I am currently 157 lbs :)  I am really happy to be down to this weight as I have been frustratingly 159-158 for the better part of a month. 

I had a bit of a scare from my scale yesterday.  It is either on drugs or when temporarily insane for a 24hr period.  Two nights ago I weighed myself (I count my morning weigh in, but sometimes I just can't help myself).  I had been extremely "good" that day.  There was an office lunch at a resturant that I showed restraint at, plus i burned off any extra calories during a 90 min sweat-fest at the gym.  I was feeling on top of the world!  So I got on the scale, and it said I had lost 7.1 lbs.  This was alarming, but I knew that it was not all water weight (I had drank 14 cups of water).  It was like an entire month's hard work had paid off in one day.  I weighed myself 5 times to make sure that it was real (i have a digital scale that calibrates itself before every time you use it).

in the morning the weight was still off.  in the afternoon the weight was still off.  then an hour later, all the weight was back on.  I got my DH to use the scale repeatedly.  the scale varied by 2 lbs in a one minute time period, but the difference in our wieghts remained the same (I weigh 6 lbs more than he does:( ).

DH removed and replaced the battery, and now the scale has regained its senses.

Does lbs gained really translate into lbs lost? When I saw the 168 lbs gained I sorta freaked out! Have we lost that much in a week already?
Hello to all my fellow trackers!!! I'm so excited about restarting my Life Skills!!!

A few years ago I lost a lot of weight but for some reason hidden deep down inside me (I'm working on that), I gained it all back and then some. I know how to lose and how to keep it off thru healthy eating and exercize. The trick is JUST DOING IT, I have to treat it (My life skills) like a part time job that I will have for the rest of my life!!! Haveing said all that,       WELCOME YA'LL!!!

We are in the exact same boat! I lost 70 lbs, and now I've gained about 3/4 of it back. Some of my problem was that when I got thinner my confidence SOARED. I stopped dieting, because it didn't seem important, PLUS I was going to more social events (with food).

I DO know how to do it. I know now that I will have to do it forever.  

Hello everyone! Just thought I would stop by and see how everyone's weekend went.
I did pretty well and I'm happy I didn't go overboard. Weekends have always been a problem for me. =) AND I didn't weigh myself this morning, which is a good start. I need to stop weighing everyday.
Too much Halloween candy sitting around. I gained 1lb. Weighing in this morning @ 140.00

What day are we supposed to be weighing in? I have the problem of weighing everyday as well.
Fridays or Saturdays, whichever day works best for you. Some people have very definitive days that they weigh in.

Scale day...and though not unexpected, I maintained today, and felt a moment of disappointment. Just have to think for myself the words I post to friends here....Hang in there, keep up the good work, you've already accomplished at lot!

No change this week (229.5) but I'm fairly relieved. I had a tough week and thought I might gain. Still down 2.5.

Knowing I had this weigh-in helped keep me from going too far, though. Thanks for this challenge.

I am not thrilled about my weight gain. I realize that its only a few ozs and I even know why I haven't lost any. I will admit that this past week that I have not been as active as I was in the week prior, and I even snacked a little through out the week. However, I am determined to get back on track and Today is a brand new Day!

I am very disappointed in myself.  I can't get past 180-184.  I fluctuate between these two numbers, it seems, daily.  I'm going to challenge myself.  My challenge is to get below 180 by my next weigh-in.  I plan to weigh-in on Saturday, November 10th.  I'll do whatever I have to do to make this goal for myself.  If I have to exercise longer, harder, fine--that's what I'll do.  I do eat, so I won't be starving myself.  Be back on Saturday.  Good luck to ALL....
