has anyone ever tried LA weight loss centers? my mom has some friends that did it and were successful, i just wanted your opinion on it...
it seems the more i try to eat healthy, i get more depressed and end up eating bad foods, then feeling bad and getting more depressed, then eating more bad foods...it's quite the vicious cycle i've gotten myself into! i just thought going to a center might help me...i guess it can't hurt me, right??? thanks!!

I went to WW a while back, still struggling with my 10 pounds today. our group leader would weigh us every week. well, the first week i lost 1 pound. the second week .4. the third week they introduce exercise tips (sort of like the green light to head to the gym). well by week 4 and week 5 i had gained almost 5 pounds! it was all muscle. so i mentioned it to the leader, and during group in front of the whole group, she states that i probably really gained because muscle doesn't weigh more than fat (i had told her it did). that's coming a group leader who has been through the whole program.
LA Weight Loss was where I finally turned when I really wanted to lose weight. I lost my first 25-30 pounds by going to them religiously. They do try to sell you stuff constantly, and the support from the staff can sometimes lack the nurturing aspect, BUT the diet itself is wonderful. It really shows a person how to manage their portion intake and also food combining without it getting too complicated.
I lost a total of 70 pounds and stopped going to LA Weight Loss after the first 25-30 pounds, BUT I stayed on the diet and just replace the LA Lites with 2 soy based/high protein granola bars per day.
I highly recommend this diet to anyone that had tried everything and just can't seem to lose any weight. There is something about this diet that kick starts your metabolism. I believe that it is the carb control aspect of it- but not a doctor- so not sure.
Thanks,
Brandi

how expensive is LA weightloss, just a rough guestament will do?
Brandi,
which protein bars did you use instead of the LA lites? Do you feel they are actually maybe better for you than the lites even, i always feel like the lites are a lot of sugar..
Also to answer dogs question:
LA weightloss is roughly $400 upfront for the weeks purchased in advance (weight loss + stabilization + maintenance weeks) & then another $500 or so for bars and whatnot.

I would also like the information if it's not too late. I really appreciate it.

Hasn't anyone heard, or read LA Weightloss is belly up. They are closing unless the franchise holders want to buy and change the name.
Wow this is an old forum, no wonder. I'm outta here!
If anyone has a copy of the ebook or information on doing LAW on my own I would be so very very grateful.

my boyfriend's sister is trying out LAWL n so far its been a week and she says she just feels so much better than the way she felt with her regular diet. i didnt ask her if shed dropped any pounds yet but i think its too early for that. i want to try it but i rly dont have the money to buy the guide and everything. if someone would like to send me a copy of the book then that would b great. thanks.
Gypsy;
If you are still up for it, please send me that e-info. I'd love to see the recipes mainly, but it would be interesting to read the other info.
If it's too late, I understand. This forum started long before I knew about cc.
