Doees anyone have 100 pounds to lose?  Either remaining or from your starting point?  I started my diet in earnest about 3 weeks ago and could really use some encouragement and understanding from others who are able to understand what I'm going through!  I look forward to not only receiveing but giving advice and encouragement!!

I also have more than 100 pounds to lose. My highest weight, back in January, was 320. In the past 6 months, I've lost 80 lbs, halfway to my goal weight of 160.

These are the things I've done to lose the weight:

  • exercise for a minimum of 1 hour/day
  • keep my workouts interesting by trying new things, such as yoga (which I love!), tennis, step aerobics, cardio (just started out by walking in my neighborhood), and weight training
  • I don't attend the meetings, but I do follow the weight watchers points program
  • staying away from sugary snacks and desserts... thankfully they don't tempt me as much as salty snacks do!
  • drinking lots of water
  • eating tons of fruits and veggies-these replaced processed foods as my snacks
  • snacking throughout the day on fruits/veggies, lowfat dairy, whole grain crackers, almonds
  • eating healthy meals and watching portion sizes on pasta and casseroles
I hope this helps! It has done wonders for my body, self-esteem, confidence, and motivation. I feel for anyone who has a lot of weight to lose, because I'm in that boat too! But when people say how much healthier and happier I look, it makes me feel great. Every day I'm making a choice to be a better person and live a healthier lifestyle.

I started a couple months ago...always a member of WW online, but not always tracking my points. I have just over 100 lbs to lose to make my ideal weight, but would be w/in range if I only lost 80 lbs. I'm trying to walk about 5-6 times/week. WeightWatchers sells this CD for walking. I copied the tracks onto my iPod, and away I go, on a 20, 30, or 40 minute walk. They should pay me for my endorsement, but between that iPod, the WW CD, and other free podcasts for exercise, I walk MUCH faster than I did two months ago. Looking forward to motivating and being motivated!!

Hi, I have 109 lbs to lose.  I have been dieting for over three months on ww and have not lost a lb. I just started exercising and I am still not losing.  So my husband found this site CC ,which tells me I should be eating more calories. so since I am working out 3-4 times a week burning anywhere from 700 to 1000 cals per session I am hoping this does the trick because I am getting ready to quit.  Does everyone actually eat what this recommends you to eat ?  It kind of scares me it suggest like 550 more calories than I am used to eating.
Hey girls!

Anyone with similar stats who needs a cool but bored school teacher friend for the summer or in the Midwest (Kansas), holler! ( :

I've been at my high 268, down 220 for my little sister's wedding, down to 150 with my current/awesome boyfriend, to almost died of appendicitis last summer, back up to 225 (down to 215 thanks to cc--rock on!) I'd say keep at it OP SHerri!!!!! And all the rest of you totally kick butt chicks who have lost and are losing the right way!

I've been very successful in the past, but never the right way, ever. Atkins or the not eating diet are not the best idea, but hey. It worked for me---I'm a lazy, math hater, so counting on purpose seemed wrong. =P I do teach English for a reason..... LOL (forgive any fast typist typos) SO I *heart* CC totally!!!! It's working for me because I am so visual--i.e. I love the easy calorie counting and activity logging. Keeps me honest. ( : In closing mostly, keep at it, ladies!

And just because yours is the last post I read, I identify kerripie-- eat a little more. Keep working out. Drink lots of water and get lots of fiber. Stay positive. ( :

Seriously, I am so bored. LOL SOrry for the small book I wrote.

It's so hard in the beginning. I started March 22, 2007 at a whooping 272lbs. (size 24) Today, July 12, 2007, I'm at 197lbs. (size 14).

I had a lot of those moments where I gave in and had that pastry or had dinner at Olive Garden but what I had to do to overcome my obstacles was change the way I think about my new lifestyle. I thought of each slip up as just one bump in the road and the next meal or even the next day was a another chance for me to regain myself. Do not let one slip up make you forget about how much and how far you've succeeded.

Afterall, our fight with our weight is a lifetime battle, so we have to develop a mental understanding to co-exist. I abused food and I ended up at my heaviest and now I am educating myself about different great vegetarian & vegan dishes that I never knew existed. I am investing more time and energy in myself and I believe that's the key to weight control.

Loving yourself enough to take time out to exercise and learn about all the options (healthy ones) to enjoy. In addition, knowing how much of the "not so healthy ones" you may have and not feel guilty nor allow it to sabotage your regiment.

Be your own great "cause" your worth it.
I want to get down to 144 i started at 300 and now i'm down to 284...EXCITING....i want to be down to 250 by my bday...dec 6
Just saying good bye on behalf of wolly28. She was in a hurry and is not able to post anymore.
I def understand what youre going through. I actually have over 100 to lose. As a matter of fact, when I fisrt started on CC in April I had 207 to lose. Now I have 179. Its easier for me to just break it down into smaller goals. For instance...I started here at 362, so my first goal is to get to 300. Its much easier to think (and see on my ticker) "ok I have 62 lbs to lose" instead of 207.

Good luck - you can do this!!
Hi, this is the first time I have ever done anything on the internet.  But I want to lose 100 pounds.  CC says I only need to lose 89, but my goal is 100.  I weigh 228 right now.  I fluctuate from day to day about four or five pounds, why is that?  I am hoping this is a good support system.  It is hard for my skinny friends to understand how I feel.  They are very nice about it, but it is hard to know what it is like unless you have been there.  I have been hiding out since I gained the weight and I just want my life back.  I think I will take the advice I have read hear and make small goals.  My first goal is going to be 220.  I want to reach it and stick to it.

I wish you luck.

I started my diet on May 11 with 128 pounds to lose as of today I have lost 30 pounds. I started out doing weight watchers on line but then I found this site that offeres exaclty the same type of information. so I am using my points limit but converting it back to calories and loging every thing on this site. plus i try to walk at least 3 miles a day.
the day before yesterday I weighed 228 today I am at 226.  I started at 256 and my goal weight is 128. also cc says I should be eating I think 1600 calories a day but I WW says I should have 1350 so I stick with my ww calorie limit. which means I eat what ever I want as lon as I stay with in my limit. and if I eat something with a lot of fat I take Alli. plus I have found Hydroxycut helps curb my hunger if i take it in the morning before breakfast and the days I do use it I seem to stay with in the 1000 a day area. I also use my activity log. and I figure if i use 2000 calories a day more than I take in I can lose about half a pound a day average. but I'm not tired or overly hungery but I admit when I first started I felt like a hobbit i was eating so often but that only lasted a couple of weeks. my frist goal was 230 and I hit that over the weekend. now I'm heading for my second 10% loss and that will put me at 207.   I can't wait till I get under 200 which should be in  a couple of  months :)
good luck with your weight loss!! just take it one day at a time :)
