Weight loss gain??

So im trying to lose 25 lbs and im shooting at losing 2 lbs a week. And ive been doing really well with calories and making sure i exercise and only weighing myself once each week, so i dont become obbsessed or anything. But i get on the scale this morning and...3 lbs heavier???!!! What is the world coming to??!!

So someone. Please. Why would this happen?? I know about water weight and waht not, but come on...3 lbs? In one week?? thats insane! Im not exactly sure what im asking for, but any advice/explanations/tips or whatevers will be extremely appreaciated :)

It's water weight. Please don't freak over a slight weight fluctuation.

i didnt think you could even lose that much in one week, how can you gain it?

There are lots of reason for weight fluctuations. It is estimated that your intestines can hold as much as 20 pounds and your bladder can hold up to 1 1/2 pounds. On top of this your body can retain water in other tissues.

Do not judge your progress by one weigh in. Everyone is different and some people fluctuate as much as 5 pounds from day to day.

maybe ur periods coming soon, I think you gain weight/your weight fluctuates a lot before that

See all the responses above. Please don't be discouraged by a single weigh-in. Also, as rejoiceitssusan asked, are you near your period? About a week before my period, I was down to 124-126, then right before my period (the few days before and the first few days during) I was up to 126-128, and now that I'm finishing up my period I'm back down around 124-126.

I weight every day and i have noticed i can fluctate 3lb's litterally over night dont fret it's just water most likely.

I kind of have the same problem as you, I fluctuate between 120 and 126 almost daily.  I think it's because we're "growing," so on some days if you don't get enough sleep or if you eat at different times. =) Not sure, just making guesses here but the point is: don't worry, I think everyone has that.  Good luck! lol i stepped on the scales today I weighed the same as last week, I then went to the toilet stepped back on to see if that would make a difference and it shot up 8 lbs lol
