Blargh!
Weigh in day:
140.8 lbs.....+.8 lb
Oh well, I guess that's better than +10 lbs, right?
Good luck in your interview, pink!
Hey guys,
I'm a little late but I want to join! I'm 5'4" and weigh 139. From June 2007 to September I went from 149 to 132. I maintained 132 for a few months but then gained 7 pounds back (stress & depression). Now I want to finish losing weight. My goal is 120.
So here is my weigh in:
4/7/08: 139.4
I've been exercising 4 times per week for a few weeks but I haven't been watching what I eat too closely, so I haven't been losing weight. Now I'm going to try to get my eating under control. If anyone has any nutrition / weight loss advice, please let me know!

I am getting married in September and am trying to loose 15 lbs. I would love to have a support group and have tried joining weight loss groups with coworkers / friends but they laugh when I tell them my goal is "only" 15 lbs. But I have been trying to loose those 15 lbs for about 5 years now with no luck. Anyone with me? MondayHello.
I understand.. Same thing here.. Im not too over weight, but im no size 8 anymore either lol. I would love to go walk but I have panic attacks that are keeping me from being social, which didnt start until I have my two boys.. One is now 6 almost 7 and the other passed before he was born.
I was wondering if I just ate healthy and did a little walking maybe around the block would that help me lose the weight???

Yay, were not alone! Im 5'5 and 150, last year i went down to 135, but dont know how i did it! NOw im trying again, lets see how it works.
4/07/08: 128.4 (-1.4)
Tried to behave this weekend but was craving a breakfast burrito (couldn't resist)!! I did cut it half though so I wouldn't eat it all.
Ah, hope I am not too late! I would love to lose 15lbs, I am currently 143 and would ultimately like to be between 120-125. I am graduating in two months, and want to look great for it. Most of my friends are naturally super skinny and pig out a lot--being in college it's kind of hard not to:(--so it is really hard to get them on board for support. Thankfully I am very motivated but I do have my 'craving-support' moments which is one of the reasons why I joined CC. Looking forward to losing and seeing everyone's progress;)
I would like to join! I'm 5'5'', 138 lbs. Would love to be 120-125.
4-7 weign in: 138
I think I am the only plus-size model here!
My current weight is 205lb.
I'm not too ashamed of that as I am proud to be able to say that i have already lost over 15 pound this year. March was a plateau, so I'm wanting to kick start it again. I'm fairly tall and have a large frame according to my wrist test so am only aiming to go down to about 147.
Alice - if I told people that I was planning on losing 15lb, I'm positive they'd look at me patronisingly and think - yeah, and the rest!
oops - i posted here accidentally meant to go to a thread on the Challenge forum with almost identical title. I see a few faces common to both. Good luck all! I will probably stick to posting on the Challenge thread, but may pop in occasionally.
Good luck with all of your goals.

Yeah, I can't really remember how I did it either! I keep trying to diet, and it hasn't been working. I think my main problem though is that I haven't been counting calories, but when I lost weight before I was counting calories religiously (and also I think I was more motivated then!). So now I'm trying to log everything I eat. Hopefully it will work!
Am I too late to join?? I've tried another 'support' group in the past, but had troubles finding a support team- I had a hard time finding people to chat with- a lot of people had bigger goals and I felt ignored, or they would say "you are at a good weight"
I also find it hard to "diet" aka change bad habits with friends and family because "ay, you don't have that much to lose, extra dessert (or whatever) won't hurt"
I am in the healthy BMI range, but on the higher end. I want to feel better about myself and I want to be healthy about it!
Weekends kill me too- at work I can only eat what I bring, but at home it is a free for all and then there is going out with friends- nobody wants to be the girl who is always on a diet or picky.....
ANYWAYS.........
EDIT: guess I should've added my stats (I was too busy ranting)
28 F 151lbs
I'm slightly behind in joining the group, but am in need of much motivation. My name is Stacey will be turning 25 soon and am about 138 pounds....I don't know my exact weight because (1) don't own a scale and (2) haven't been to the gym since January, ouchy. Well, here is my unofficial offical weight:
4/8/08 138 lbs!
Congrats to all the ladies that have already started!!
I'm in.
5' 1" 140 1lbs.
You know I thought I was eating good today.. had a little fruit.. a little low fat and BAMB~~~~~> I reached my max cals for the day!! What the hell am I suppose to do now its dinner time and im HUNNNNNNGGGGGGGGRRRRRYYYYY???? lol.... My hubby is cooking ribs. im making spinach.. asparagus and bake potato???? Can I eat one rib and veggies minus the potato??
HELLLLLLLLLLPPPP
mrs super hunger!
(Desiree)
Actually it would be better for you to have a little ribs and veggies. If I remember correctly its better to have carbs during the day and not at night. That and almost anything in small amounts isn't too bad for you. I have a problem of not over eating. Someone gave me good advice to keep from doing that- use smaller plates and drink a FULL glass of water before each meal. It has helped me with over eating......except when it comes to pasta and pizza- which are my ultimate weaknesses!

Hi Alice,
Count me in!
I started the CC on April 1st @ 135 lbs. I'm only 5"2 so a drop of 15 lbs. would definitely help this body frame of mine. My goal is to lose it before end of May if I could stay "motivated & discipline". Ah! The 2 magic words. Mondays weight in sounds good. Will update my progress on April 7th.
KL
I have almost the exact same goals! 5'2, f, 20, 133, starte don april 1st, trying to det down to around 120 or less. what are you doing for your calorie goals?? I've had some trouble finding a reliable estimate.
Anybody went through the late night college experience? This is sooooo annoying, I'll go through the entire day eating barely anything bc I am always running around, and then come night time, bam! I have to be in one place for long periods of time, studying and what not, and end up splurging on over what I allow myself on a daily basis. I hate this, it's so freaking agravating, especially since I pull all-nighters five out of seven nights of the week most weeks, so not only am I not sleeping enough to allow my body to recuperate on a day to day, but i eat so late bc it is the only stationary time I really have in a day...and this with my meals being planned each week.
Don't know what to do:( any advice?
ysrules- been there... and binged on massive caffeine which was bad.... Try preparing some things on Sunday (or your most relaxed day) for the week and portion it out in easy grab and go tuperware or something. Also, some protein or some sort of premade smoothie for during the day when you are on the run.
And I know easier said than done, but you have to try to set aside a time for a good relaxed meal at least 30 minutes and get as much rest as possible- again, i know, easier said than done.
Carrots and celery are good things to munch on (although not very well liked in a library)
Good luck with everything!
I'm in! A little late, yes, but I NEED to make some changes/need support/need a kick in the butt, etc. I would like to loose the 10 lbs that I've gained since last September and an additional 5. I'm 5'8 and currently at 150. I have more of a medium build/athletic frame, so the extra weight doesn't look too swell on me. It's mostly my mid region, but It's distributed itself everywhere on me-even my face/neck!!!
Monday weigh-in's will definitely be great for me! I'm one of those people that over-do EVERYTHING...so I can't have just one piece, sip, etc. I defiantly have a tendency to overeat on the weekends

I don't own a food scale so I just estimate my food portions. Since I started CC Plus on April 1st, I tried to stay within 1200-1500 cals daily and try to expense about 300-500 cals daily from workouts. Managed to drop about 2 lbs in first week of the diet. This second week has been a bit tougher because of the evening cravings.
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
This is the best way to picture a portion of pie or cake: Draw a circle to represent the circumference of the cake or pie (9" pie? 10" cake?... Read more
