15 Pound Weight Loss Group

I am getting married in September and am trying to loose 15 lbs. I would love to have a support group and have tried joining weight loss groups with coworkers / friends but they laugh when I tell them my goal is "only" 15 lbs. But I have been trying to loose those 15 lbs for about 5 years now with no luck. Anyone with me? Monday weigh ins?

avengingadrienne, that's great news & you too thinthought.  to get rid of muffin tops (or chicken fillets as my friend calls it) is no easy feat. and if you are looking better/good the scale doesn't matter.

i dropped 8lbs in the last 2 weeks but im a little worried about that. i changed my strength training program so that might be it. its not like i have not had my cheat days/meals, that's for sure.  i am doing more endurance strength training with body weight & medicine ball & less free weights. i have these couple of fun runs in the next few months and my endurance needed some work.

we actually have sun here so im going to go out & enjoy it, even though i have some what of a hangover. enjoy your week, everyone.

hey guys! sooo sorry i've been MIA the past two weeks! I was traveling with friends...surprisingly enough, either from all the walking with our backpacks or something I lost a couple pounds! (i'm a little nervous it was muscle tone though, as i wasn't in the gym running on a treadmill...how fast do you lose muscle mass?) anyways, here's the stats:

 

143 pounds! yay!

jeboltz- way to go!!! Although you weren't working out at the gym, you were not inactive- it may take a sec. to get back into your workout routine, but I doubt you lost muscle mass... so huge pat on the back!

I am happy to report a day late and 4 pounds lighter!!  I have been doing core workouts and walking the dog in the mornings- yoga at work- and running in the afternoon.  I have to say that the 3 a day work out is great.  I was worried that a lack of weight training would keep me from toning up, but it hasn't.  I am becoming a true believer in yoga!
