Hi!
I just finished stage one and really enjoyed it. I was very consistent and lost a few pounds and definitely increased the amount of weight I could lift in every exercise. Toward the end of stage one (last 2 weeks or so), I hit a plateau and could not seem to lose.
I decided to take the book's advice and take one week off before starting stage 2. Since the beginning of the week, I have already lost 4 lbs, which about doubles my total weight loss.
Is this normal? Can someone help me understand why this happened? Does it have something to do with the muscles re-building? Don't get me wrong, I am very happy - it just seems odd that the week during which I am NOT working out, I have lost the most weight.
Thanks for any info!
Congratulations on finishing stage 1!! As for the sudden drop in weight, I would have to guess that it is water weight your muscles were hanging on to to help rebuild. You may gain a couple of them back once you workout again. The muscles like to hang on to extra water after a workout!
Enjoy your week off!
