weight loss pills

Hello everybody! My name is Jenn and I am new to this forum. Unfortunately I am overweight - I weigh 265lbs....definitely too much! Unfortunately don't have much time to do any kind of sports and that is why I decided to try the weight loss pill kioslim. Does anybody have any experience with that pill?

Don't have any experience with weight loss pills.

My advice is that if you are still growing or plan on having babies, do not put anything in your body that may backfire on you.  No matter what the drug is for.

You are new to c-c, so welcome.  Read a bit and maybe try things with a new approach.  Spend a day or two getting acquainted with the site.  Use the tools and see if you can do things naturally and healthy.

there is a lot of good advice on this site and lots of members have come here thinking that diet pills were the answer and have changed their minds.

You're best bet is to just do the work required!  I hate to say that it is the absolute truth.  If any of the supplements really worked-over a long period of time, obesity in the western world would be a thing of the past.  We know that is not the case.

First of all these might work at the beginning.  But then your body rebounds and stores fat.

I'm not overweight, but would like to lose a few pounds.  I would love to take a pill and not have to work at it.  I  have to and so do you.  I understand you have a busy life.  There is no short cuts to a healthy life style.

We all wish there was!

No I am not planning to get a baby. I am not even married and actually I am more the kind of person who likes to be succesful in the job and I don't really want kids.

Yes I will definitely have a look at the other threads. Maybe I will find some good advise in there. Nevertheless I think it good be good to combine a good diet and a weight loss pill. But I am not sure yet. I have to find some more information first!

Hi! I am new here too, I don't know that specific pill, but I have used pills to lose weight in the past several times, and this is what I can tell you: you will lose lots of pound fast, you will look and feel great because you'll never get hungry, you may even force your self to eat... sounds great  right? not really then what happens is you start to feel more hungry even taking the pills, and you notice you're putting on some pounds back, the thing is that your body will adjust to the medication and if did not take some other steps like working out, and if you haven't change your eating habits you'll be back where you started in a hearth beat, even gets worst you will gain even more weight because your metabolism will get slower from the pills.

So from experience I do not recommend diet pills of any kind ( I have tried more than 7 different ones, because I was lazy and I took the easy way and with every single one I had the same result... thin then fatter). I really hope this long story can be helpful for you somehow and good luck achieving your weight loss goal. :)

So you believe in the impact of diet pills, don't you? Because you mentioned that you have already tried a few diet pills and that you have lost weight quite fast. I believe that a diet pill in combination with a healthy nutrition and a work-out might be good. I mean I don't have so much time to exercise but I would try something like jogging at the weekend!

The pills work that is true, but they don't work for ever, in fact they really work for just a couple of months (six at the most) then you start to lose the effect of it, and another truth is that after they stop working and/or you stop taking them  your metabolism will be slower than before, generally the same amount of time that you took the pills (p.e. 4 months of pills = 4 months of a slower metabolism) which means that you will be more likely to regain the pounds you lost.

What I'm trying to let you know is that if you are an emotional eater, if you crave sweets and fatty food, if you usually go to fast food restaurants, if you are a sedentary person (and jogging on the weekends is not enough to make you lose weight, if it where you would not need to take the pills on the first place cause jogging will be enough  right?), I mean all of the life habits that made you gain weight on the first place will still be there once the diet pill stops working.

Imagine it like this, if you have a very nervous boy that bites his  finger nails,  and that is the boy's way of stress release: biting his nails. And you tied the boy's hands so that he can not bite his nails, and you keep him like  that until his fingers heal from his own bites, but you don't  find out the source of the boy's stress and don't teach the boy any alternative to release his stress, when you untied his hands what do you think will happen? He'll start to bite his nails again, and he'll have more stress  accumulated from the period of time that he couldn't bite them.

I hope I made my point  because the least that I wanted was to give you the impression that diet pills where good or a magical solution because they definitely are not.

But a couple of months is great I think. I mean I don't want to take a diet pill for the rest of my life. I just thought about taking kioslim for one or two months. I think that this should have helped me to lose a little weight which will encourage me to go on by myself. I mean gaining all the weight back is also possible after a "normal" dieting program. Don't you think that a diet pill could encourage people?

The issue is, you will lose weight pretty quickly at first. Read up on how much fat the body can actually burn a week, and you're going to find it's about 2 lbs. Losing more than that is going to have you losing other VITAL parts of your body.

In my experience (never did the diet pills) - the quicker I lose weight, the quicker I am to put it back on. I think "oh, it only took me a month to drop 20, this supersized Big Mac meal won't really make a difference." Thus gaining the 20 + 5 back in less than a month. And by the time I decided to do this the HEALTHY way, the yo-yo effect I put on my body makes it harder for me to actually lose, due to the body's mechanism for slowing metabolism.

I want to get a quick jump at first, too. I want to drop the first ten in three days, and then I will slow down and do it healthy. That's not going to happen. Your body is just NOT built to do that.

I sincerely hope you do not try the diet pills in hopes of a fast start. It gives you a FALSE sense of accomplishment that will, either a month or six from now, turn into a big fat negative. As far as saying you never want kids and whatnot, you may not at the moment, but you may want that later in life.

Good luck.

Well I am no professional and therefore I don't see a problem in losing a lot of weight during the first period of time. I mean probably it is really difficult to keep off all that weight but I think it is possible if you really want it, isn' it? It is the same with a diet. Most people regain much weight once they have stopped being on a diet.

Well I haven't made a decision yet. Is there anybody who has used any kind of diet pills?

Hi I am also new here, trying to get information about diet pills, I have decided to take one because every diet I have started has not worked for me, OK they didn't work because I messed up. I was hoping to find a good diet pill to get me started without suffering with a strict diet.  Does anyone know of a good diet pill?

Exactly.  You have to WANT to put the time and energy into your body.  A pill is not going to help you, no matter how much you think it will.  You may feel that it will give you a "boost" in confidence, but how will you feel when you start working out and gain the weight back?

Just make out a good plan using the tools on this site.  You will get where you need to go, and save yourself time, money, and disappointment by doing so.
I have taken pills before.  Actually I am taking them right now but I don't believe the pills supress your appetite or make you lose without without eating right or exercising.  You need to do both with the pills.  The pills are just that extra push you need.  For example they help me a lot because mine has ephadra in it.  I have two jobs (about 70 hours) and I have a household to take care of.  Without the pills I would have NO energy to work out.

But like someone mentioned here before that your body will start getting used to the pills and stop working.  So what I am planning to do is finish the bottle (about a months worth of supply) and then take a month off, and then take it for another month.

spoiled_candy: Why did you say if your planning to have babies you shouldn't take diet pills? I'm just wondering if I missed something because i did do an intensive search on diet pills before I started taking them and I have never read anywhere about diet pills reducing your chances of having children.  If you have any information please let me know because I would really like to read it since i am planning to have children.  Thanks!
I am also new here, I am also thinking about taking some kind of diet pill. just for starters, I have been checking alot out, I only want to take one for like a month or 3 , not more, I just need that extra push to get started, I know that I will have to watch what I eat too.  But which ones are good??

Hi hillbillyrock, welcome to this forum! Deciding wheather to try a diet pill or not is very difficult. Most people tell you not to do so but nevertheless I still believe that diet pills might be good for the beginning as long as you are ready to change you whole lifestyl too. Otherwise you would gain all the weight back. I thought about kioslim. Have you ever heard of that pill?

i have never seen a weight-loss medication that even claimed to work without proper nutrition and exercise.  they offer guarantees that "if taken as directed" they will work; then you don't make the necessary lifestyle changes, they don't work, the guarantee is null and void.  well, you could say the same thing about jelly beans, couldn't you?  take one in the morning, one at night, exercise at least 30 minutes daily, eat what you need and no more, and you will lose weight - guaranteed!

if you want to take pills, take pills, but don't try to get anyone here to tell you it's going to work.

welcome & good luck!
Of course I want to change my eating habits, but I was hoping that a GOOD diet pill could be a good start for me, help me have that full feeling, and I don't want to take one very long, it is just I can't seem to find a good one, I would be gratefull if someone could tell me which is good to take and which ones are crappy.  This is not an over night decision, I have been overweight for 20 years, and have tried zillion diets.  This is my last resort.

Hi hillbillyrock I finally decided to try kioslim. I am going to order it later. I think I informed myself very well and for me kioslim turned out to be the best pill. But maybe other pills are better for you. Everybody has to find its own way how to lose weight. I might tell you about my experiences as soon as I will get it. Maybe this might help you and I promise to tell you about bad experiences as well.

Hi yes I have decided to take a diet pill, but just for at the most 3 months, I am just having problems finding the right one, what made you decide to take kioslim??  Why is it better than all the others??   I know some say leave the pills alone, but I have no will power, I need something to give me the will to diet. I really want to take one for a month first, just to see how it goes.

Every diet pill has the same basic ingredients, either some form of "legal" ephedra, or massive amounts of caffiene, or green tea. So if you feel the need to rev up your metabolism, brew some tea or coffee and you'll get the same effect for a lot cheaper. For any diet to work you need to execise and eat better, end of story. I'm not sure why you feel the need to push this idea of Kioslim being so much better than other pills Jenn, do you work for the company?

Well I compared a few weight loss pills and I also tried to find people who tried diet pills. I found two people who have made quite good experiences with kioslim and they haven't experienced bad side effects which is really important.

If you are not sure about kioslim yet, don't order it. Try to find as much information as you need to make your decision. That is what I also did.
