Weight loss plateau

Quote  |  Reply

SO I'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR 4 WEEKS NOW. I DO 30-40 MIN HIGH INTENSITY CARDIO PER DAY 6 DAYS A WEEK AND 40 MIN STRENGTH TRAINING 3-4 DAYS A WEEK. EATING WELL WITH ROUGHLY A 800 CALORIE DEFICIT. THE FIRST 3 WEEKS I LOST 10 POUNDS BUT IN THE LAST 8 DAYS I HAVEN'T LOST ANYTHING AND I HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING. i'M STILL FINDING MY TRAINING CHALLENGING, IN FACT I'M WORKING EVEN HARDER.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND HOW I CAN GET THE WEIGHT LOSS GOING AGAIN??

JUST SO U KNOW, I'M FEMALE, 5'9 AND WEIGH 187 POUNDS, STILL HAVE TO LOSE 37 POUNDS.

PLEASE HELP!

Happens to me too. Sometimes I have stayed the same weight for three weeks before starting to lose again. Be patient and motivated you will lose more.

I simply hate plateaus.

Adjust your intake to a 500 cal deficit for a while..... You lost a lot of weight quite rapidly prior to this stall which suggests you're not quite eating enough to cope with all that exercise.  When you exercise you don't just burn up XYZ extra calories at the time, it also increases your metabolism the rest of the day as well.  Up your intake a little and you may find it helps things start moving again.
