Weight loss, platous and diet pills.
Hy,
In the past two years I lost more then 20 kg i was about 95 kg, i am 1.70 m tall,so its normal weight loss. I started calorie counting on 05.14.2009. I lost 7 kg from then. I hit a platou a month ago, I tried eating more, then less, more exersize, nothing worked. Yesterdey I bought some Super Slim pills, I know its a last resort, but I hope they work. Did somebody tried these ? I want to loose 3-4 kg more and then I am done with weight loss.
Really, don't use the diet pills. They're at best useless and, at worst, could harm you. Only the kind you can get from your doctor are effective and, even then, they are of limited use.
Go back to a good old-fashioned healthy diet, calorie-control and regular exercise if you want lasting results. Because truth is you're never 'done with weight-loss'. Weight-loss is only the start and it then turns into a life-long exercise of weight-control. And for that.... ta-daaaa..... you STILL need a healthy diet, calorie-control and regular exercise.
Plateaus can happen to people who've been losing weight for a long time. It helps to change things around a little, try different foods, different exercise. Eating a little more than normal often helps. But then get back into a routine of reduced calories (700 cal deficit) to get things moving again and be patient.
I have been dieting and excersiezing regualry for the past 2 years. I hit the gym 3 times / week + cardio 2 times / week. I rarely eat more than 1600 calories / day. I eat fruits , and tuna almost every day. I read a few forums, blogs and sites before choosing this diet pill. I need to loose 3-4 kg more, after that of course Im going to maintain, its a way of life of course.
My husband tried them in June and they did absolutely nothing for him...sorry
It sounds like you don't want to lose much more, but you seem to be in a big hurry to get there. You've lost 7kg in the last couple of months and only have a few to go.
Sometimes I thinkk plateaus are your bodies way of telling you to slow down. Mybe you need to let yourself stay at this weight for a few weeks or even months and then push for the last few kgs.
You aren't at an unhealthy weight, and you're obviously active and I'm assuming you are going to continue eating healthily and exercising for the rest of your life.
So what would be the harm of taking a little more time to lose the last few pound?. And why resort to chemicals just so you can get there faster?
These "Super Slim" pills, are they Chinese? My husband and I, plus many of his co-workers have tried them. They work for some, and not others. They DID work for most of us. Just one person we know they didn't work for. He couldn't stop eating. I am not sure what makes them wok so well. They do make your appetite and cravings pretty much non-existent, so they are not the healthiest approach obviously. But if your desperate to lose the weight, go for it. My husband and his co-workers have a very physically demanding job,. They each lost roughly 20 pounds in about a month and a half. I do NO exercise and lost about 13 in a month. So, the success varies and again, I think it is mostly because you just don't eat. They do dehydrate you and you get cranky come off them. Most of the guys have been off for a few months and the weight has stayed off.
I know it's not the healthiest, but if your wanting to drop those last few pounds quick, I say go for it.
Yes they are chinese. Im not in a hurry at all, i just wanted something to help me with the weight loss. Of course I am going to exercise and eat healthy, that isnt a problem. :) This site helped me change my life style, and after working so hard to loose weight, it changed my hole perception about nutrition and exercise. So it works for some people and not for others. Im really curious, I will return with an update next week.
