I've heard they work. I personally am not comfortable enough that they are 'healthy' to do them, but I know others who have had success with him. And some people don't. The biggest decider is how much you stick to it. The weight loss isn't any easier to maintain than other weight loss, so those you do well seem to be those you adopt a healthy diet and focus on maintenence. Those that think it's a quick fix and go about their normal eating habits regain weight. As is the case on many interventions... even those with gastric bypass are likely to gain back weight if they are not diligent about maintaining weight loss.

I'm still curious about it, so please post back with your experience!

Hi, Thanks for the feed back..I have been on a 1200 calorie a day diet for 3 months now and have only lost 6lbs. In December i weigh 105 in April i was 155. i have never been over 110 except when i was pregnant so i really dont understand how i gained the weight or why i am not loosing. I am also on thyroid medicine.  I am going to give the shot a try. It is suppose to help with my metabolism. And that is one thing i have noticed different i have had no energy. I will let you know how is goes.

Could it be the medicine?

My aunt is on some medicine and shes gained alot of weight and shes been skinny all her life now shes gained prolly over 60 pounds or more since being on the medicine.

I was on an anti depressant. I thought that could be it but i have been off it 6months.

I am starting to get depressed all over again though.I just dont know how to dress for my weight gain and i cant even buy clothes i try something on then leave the store crying..I went up from a 0-2 to a 12.

Well, first things first, you're not losing because you're not eating enough. 1200 calories a day is bare minimum to stay alive. You are essentially tricking your body into thinking you are starving and it in turn is preparing for a fast. Your body starts shutting down, less energy, slower metabolism, all in a combined effort to store fat. You should use cc and all the helpful caloric calculators in your profile. This will tell you how much you need to eat to balance out with your exercise level. Which brings me to my next point, how much are your exercising?

One thing I did do before starting a weight loss regimen was RESEARCH!!!! If you have even an hour of just simple online reading,  you will see that 1200 calories is def bare minimum, especially if you're exercising. Get to know how the body works, here are a few facts that you should never, EVER forget:

*Eat more, HEALTHY foods and work out to burn the calorie intake, it should be a balance, working with each other, not against

*If you starve yourself, you will only see initial results, plateau, and eventually start gaining. Maintain your insulin levels throughout the day. You only want to peak them pre work out with good carbs. Cheating will spike your insulin level, your body will go into starvation mode, and you will STORE everything you ate.

*Eat thoughout the day (5 small meals, every 3 hours) again, if your body thinks your not eating, it goes into the defensive

*work out in the morning if possible, this is when your body's natural fat burners peak

*Always eat a high protein/carb meal pre-workout, and a post workout meal should be no more than 30 minutes after you finish exercising

*Your body will release a fat burning enzyme after 20 minutes of increased heart rate, so perhaps an hour of cardio would be beneficial

Just remember, our bodies were not meant to be thin and pretty-they were meant for survival, and they're VERY good at what they do. You can live 2 weeks minumum without food, can you guess how? Your body is extremly advanced technology and you have to treat it as such.

Edit - double post - sorry.

And here I was hoping there'd be something at my local bar I could throw down the hatch that would help me lose and get loose! :P

i've never heard of this weight-loss shot.  what is it?  what does it do?  if it artificially speeds your metabolism, what happens when the effects wear off?

sounds dodgy to me.  but then, i'm of the opinion that any weight loss product you have to pay for is dodgy.  in my book, weight loss is free.

i've had great success with vodka and club soda with a couple of cucumber slices.  as a substitute for beer, of course :D

I got my 1st shot last monday. The shot is a mixture of hcg and b12. I have feel great since my first shot. I have had a lot more energy. I go back in the am for my next shot and my weigh in. People have been telling me they can tell i am already losing weight. I was retaining a lot of fluid and i know thats what i am losing right now. I will post my weight loss results tomorrow. I am about to start and i usually gain atleast 5lbs that time of the month so i am curious to see if i lost anything.  I have been exeercising 7days a week and i am on a 1200 calorie diet.

I weighed in today. I lost 3lbs. I feel GREAT!

good for you from what i read it helps your energy levels  =)

good luck.

Yes it really does help with energy. That was one of my problems i had none..Now i cant sit still.

I just took my third shot. I just weighed in and i weigh 128. I have lost several inches in my waist hips and legs. I feel great!

Congratulations!

I would love some more info on it!

I took my fourth shot and i am down to 126. Still feeling great!!

I have been on a weight loss program since Jan 9th that I get a double shot each week (you can go twice a week for a single injection, but with work it's easier to get a double).  I started out at 196 lbs, as of this week, Jul 28th, I am now down to 145 lbs.  That's a loss of 51 lbs.  I have been under a doctor's care for this program.  I am also on a 1200 Calorie diet.  What is nice, it tells me what I CAN eat, not what I can't.  It also gives you the portion size/weight.

But the shots are awesome.  I have tried every diet out there and this is the first time I have found something that actually works.  Even my regular Doctor has approved of this program.  You are monitored, so it's not as if you are just going to a clinic getting a shot and on your way.  You meet with the doctor on a monthly basis.  If you have any questions, just ask away.

Once I reach my goal (another 9/10 lbs), I plan to just maintain the weight loss.  I never want to weigh what I did a year ago.  I'm a lot healthier and have energy to burn all the time.  No longer tired.

That is GREAT!! I didnt know you could get two a week..Well now that i think of it my doctor actually told me that. I may try that next week. I have strayed from my diet. I watch what i eat stay away from fried foods sweets and breads and i am still losing about 1 to four pounds a week and i have lost anyway from 4-8 inches in my stomach hips and legs..

My doctor is the one that gives me the shots and i meet with him weekley..

When i reach my goal i would still like to take the b12 part. Are you gonna continuine with anything once you reach your goal?

Take Care and God Bless

Natasha

I plan to keep taking the shots, but not on a weekly basis.  I am just glad that I found a program that actually worked for me.  I try not to stray from the diet part.  But then after 7 months, it has become a habit on what I eat.  I don't skip meals and I weigh and measure all foods.

I like how on the food plan, it tells me what I can eat and the portion size.  It doesn't tell me what I can't eat.  So, I figure, if it isn't on the list, then I don't even think about it.

I now have a mind set of "Think Thin" and that I am a walking testimony to this program.  People at work are just amazed at the transformation in how I look.  And many of them have asked for the information and have even started the program themselves.  But some are disappointed, but I had to explain that everyone's body is different and that it does take time and not to give up so easily.

You take care and think positive thoughts and it will happen.
