Weight Loss Supplement ! Does it work ???
I need to lose 40 pounds left and my friend suggest I try to add a supplement to my diet to speed up my metabolism. Is there anything out there that really works ? What about Alli pills ? I do not want to be on something the rest of my life to lose weight either but I sure like to lose more then 2 pounds in two weeks.
I read that Hoodia and Guarna(mispelled ?) Do not aid in weight loss.

none of them even claim to work without exercise and a good diet. consume fewer calories than you expend and you will lose weight, with or without pills.
I agree with Pgeorgian. Don't waste your money on any of that stuff. Besides, I heard Alli has some nasty side effects that may require close proximity to a restroom.
I don't know anything about the products mentioned above except to ditto what happyjoyjoy said about Alli.
However, my doctor prescribed Adipex for me two weeks ago and it has helped tremendously. He called it an appetite suppressant and it does just that. He told me to stay under 1200 calories and I find that I am usually easily in the 1000-1100 range. I'm just not as hungry as I was when I was trying to cut back on my own. I try to eat mainly low cal food, but I've found that when I eat "regular" food, I pretty much don't finish my meals before feeling full. I don't like the idea of taking meds and was nervous about feeling jittery, but I haven't really felt any side effects. Maybe a little more alert or energetic, which is a good thing, and no more insomnia than I already had from back pain, probably from the extra pounds! I don't know if it will continue, but I'm happy so far. I don't think you can take it for very long anyway, but it's nice to have the help to get started.
I have used Alli and it successfully worked for me...yes one of the side effects is changes in your bowel movement but if you follow the instructions you mostly only have excessive changes after you eat a meal with a high fat content. but besides that it worked well for me and i haven't gained any of the weight back
Is my sodium intake too low?
You have nothing to worry about because sodium deficiency is extremely rare. In fact, there is not even an recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA... Read more
