Weight Loss Twins (females, age 20-25)
Lets try to dwindle down the age range and see if we can find buddies or twins! Personally, I would like to find someone who is in the same boat as me so we can help eachother with advice, support, and motivation.

I started at 136 llbs
I'm currently 129 llbs
My goal weight is 115 llbs
Also its been suggested some of us might like to do a weekly weigh in, its certainly not a requirement, but it could be helpful so we can share advice and support!

I just wanted to say that anyone on here can add me as a friend! I need all the buddies I can get. I love that we are all about the same age and have weight loss in common. Hey guys,
I'm in need of a little support and motivation. In the past 2 days I have managed to gain weight and I'm so frustrated!! the day before yesterday I did have fatty pizza, but I counted the calories, and yesterday I excersized(and burned more calories than I have the entire month) and I still managed to go up on the scales. Muscle gain? sodium? How the hell did I manage to exceed my trend line?!!! please, advice and support are much needed. Im seriously down in the dumps.
Muscle and sodium are good suggestions. About exceeding the trend line, I did the same thing today - how the hell is that possible?? It's SO frustrating!
But hey girl, judging from what you eat it's propably muscles/water. There's no way you can gain fat from having pizza one day. Just keep excersizing and eating healthy, I promise you it'll go away again. Don't let it get to you too badly ![]()
Sometimes when I feel my body is holding too tight onto something (water, food), I drink a good cup of green tea. Perhaps it's mentally, but it feels as though it helps my metabolism get moving again, and it flushes the bad things out. Even if it's just my imagination, it helps restore my self image and helps me stick to more healthy habits - because I don't feel completely helpless against the weight.

sjocorey: i, personally, am trying to only weight myself once a week to get a better idea of my weight. a couple days ago i weighed myself after my workout, then ate a small dinner, drank only water and weighed myself again and had gained 4 pounds within about 2 hours. that startled me into my once-a-week routine. also, i've decided to take my measurements every two weeks because that's more what i'm going for than pounds - i want to be slimmer! i understand what is like to be dispirited by numbers. so, my encouragement is to keep on truckin because the longer you stay in the routine the better you'll do in the long run.
also, i like sinev's idea with green tea. it sounds thereputic, i'm totally going to do that.
Thankyou all for your words of wisdom and support! I really appreciate it. Im just going to keep doing my best, and hopefully the numbers on the scale will start treating me better. You guys rock!
Sooo, I just added those of you who said you didn't mind as friends (bigfatarmsbegone, sinev, nobackwardsglances) The more motivational support, the better! Just a question.. what are you all doing to lose weight? Just calorie counting, or exercising, etc? And good idea on the only weighing yourself once a week nobackwardglances... If only I could stick to it!

I've recently just been maintaining the same weight at 137, but I believe ive gained muscle and lost fat, because my body is more toned overall, and my face appears skinnier. I am the type of person who has trouble maintaining a 700 calorie defecit. I eat a lot of junk, but I rarely ever eat more than I burn. I work out 7 days a week, for 2.5 hours a day. I would love anyone with the same stats as me to add me as a friend, and track their weight loss with me:)

Sjocorey: It's nice knowing, that the answers we give matter to someone. I think the key to making this work is support - none of us has some magic solution, but we share the experience, ups and downs on this, and that's what will get us through stupid scale-readings and tirering workouts.
Amie: I'm primarily caloriecounting, riding my bike to school and running a bit - but trying to keep it fun instead of an obligation. Right now my main focus is changing my eating habits, and when I'm more comfortable with making the right food choises, I'll start a more serious approach to the excersize part. I'm much more into eating more and excersizing more, but at the moment it's too much change at one time ![]()
Regarding weighing yourself, I do it whenever I feel like it - and using the green trend line here on CC prevents me from panicking over gains and losses, as long as it is declining steadily.
Oh well, better get moving. It's 8 AM here and I'm going to the doctor for a vaccination - it's nice to travel to far away places but it sucks being vaccinated. Have a great day everyone. My name is Sine.

amie: i'm calorie counting as well as working out 30-60 minutes a day 5-6x a week. i have a stationary bike at home that i do the programmed routines on as well as yoga routines i find on youtube. plus i'm drinking a lot of water because it's supposed to increase metabolism and keep the body from retaining water.

Just wanted to congradulate all of you on working hard to accomplish your goals! I know its not easy sometimes, but I'm just as proud as every single one of you as I am of myself. Dont lose sight of your dreams, we CAN and WILL do this! Plus its great to have groups like this to be able to find comradery, support, friendship, advice, and motivation.
I've been kinda frustrated lately with my "plateau" situation, but I keep telling myself that if I continue to do my best, the results will come sooner or later, hopefully sooner ![]()
