My weight matches my ID
My ID has lied for the past 20 years... by a lot at certain points, but I realized today that it doesn't lie right now. Now the picture lies because I'm not the 227 pound woman who had her picture taken for it last June, but the 161 it lists is the truth.
At least for this week. ![]()
That is sooo funny. Mine hasn't said my true weight for a very long time to. I just checked it again as I forgot what I put it at. That is a great goal....to weigh as much as my driver's license says...LOL![]()
Congratulations! I went for years with an ID that said 230, even though I was in the upper 200s. I was super excited when I hit 230 last year. Then I had to get a new ID, and I intentionally put a weight that was about 10 pounds lower than my current weight. I had missed the motivation. I just got down under that weight (190), so now I'm back under my ID weight.
I often wonder what the cops think when they pull me over for a ticket (hasn't happened for a really long time). Hmmm, funny, she looks bigger than 161?
I wonder who many women tell the truth on their license application? The only place I tell the truth is at the doctor's office -- well, and now on CC.
Yay for you!!!! :)
My is still lying to 19 more pounds. I think everybody lies. Except I've noticed some states don't put weight on the license, just on the application.
In NJ you don't list your weight. When I got my licence I think they had it listed in catagories like 121 and under 0 so on and so forth.
I'm glad we don't list weights even in the catagories.
Passports don't have them listed either from what I remember.
This is an AWESOME thread! Made me laugh. Congratulations!! What a wonderful feeling.
I got my license at 17 when I was very overweight, and also lied on it. Since then, I've lost lots of weight, and my lie weight is 33 lbs over what I am now! Haha.
Keep going, awesome accomplishment. ![]()
Me too - my lie weight is 25 lbs MORE than what I am now! (I pulled it out to have a look, how cool to find that, thanks!)
Back five years ago when I got my current license, I weighed a hundred pounds. Then over the past year I gained thirty pounds. Now I'm down to 120, hoping to get back to my hundred! (I'm really short!)
never heard of having to list your weight for identification! (nz).

I have had driver's licenses in California and in Pennsylvania, and in both states, they required the weight on the license. I didn't realize it was all that unusual.
I actually tried changing the weight on my license last year when I renewed it, but for some reason they didn't update it, which is just as well, since I would weigh a whole lot less than it says.
Congrats!!
You've prompted me to check my own license: happy to report that I weigh about five pounds less than what it says on the card. Yay! Thanks for prompting me to check; what a great marker of progress!
That's so funny, In Canada (Ontario) we don't have our weight listed at all, I've never heard of it on an ID before... Great motivation though, made me laugh
I've had a driver's license in NJ and FL and thankfully neither state lists weight on the ID. I've always been grateful for that.
Although I didn't lie on my license orignally, I'm now 15 pounds lighter than my license says I am. Yay.
:D
I got my license 8 years ago and listed weight at 200 lbs. Sad to say at 242 I'm not below my claim of 200!
However, this post has given me another goal to shoot for and that is a good thing ![]()
Congratulations for reaching this point in your journey!
Totally love it! I will love the day my weight matches my ID -- mine's been wrong for about thirty years!![]()
Keep up the good work!
Of course I had to pull out my license and check. OOOOPS! I've lost 12.5 pounds in about 10 weeks, so I figure I'll match my ID in another 10 weeks. LOL. Thanks for posting. It's good to have another milestone to shoot for to keep me motivated.![]()
Last month I made it under my ID weight too! I was so excited, I can't remember the last time I was under! Maybe freshman or sophomore year of high school? Maybe? Lol
That's too funny! Thankfully, in NC, the DMV doesn't list a person's weight on their license. I've lost almost 50 pounds since I last renewed mine and I've also cut a completely different cut and color so the last time I went out with my friends, I got accussed of trying to pass a fake ID . It was awesome. lol.
That's awesome! I just realized I started out 50 lbs over the weight on my license and am now almost 20 lbs under it ... the only problem is I also added a couple of inches to my height and I've gone from a brunette to a blonde ...
