Weight in the past affecting future health?
Can being heavier as a YOUNG child affect you as a teen or after that, even if you aren't as big as you used to be? My weight until I was 14 or 15 was in the 95th percentile and now it is in the 85th. I was REALLY heavy for my age even though I was just a little bit taller than average, I mean, I weighed 120lbs when I was 10, 140-something lbs when I was 11... did this damage my organs in any way? I'm 5'5 and 16 years old. I am unsure of my current weight because I have only gotten 2 readings, one was 12 lbs heavier but it was after I ate with cloths on during my period, (thats where I got the percentile) the other 13lbs lighter without cloths, before eating and not on my period. Anyone know?
I don't like bumping but I want to know the answer to this... I looked up some things myself and it said type 2 diabetes, hardening of the arteries, and higher fat cell production... I REALLY don't want to be at risk for these things, but am I? I weigh as much as I did in 6th grade and I'm going into 11th so I am not nearly as big even though I am trying to lose a bit... Thanks. :)
