Weight redisutribution
Hey, I have a query. In the last 7 weeks, Ive gained just over a stone. All the weight is on my face, my tummy and a little on my bum/thighs. I am happy that I am at a healthier weight and looking a lot better. However, I know I still have around a stone to go, and if the rest of my weight goes on the same way as the first stone went on, I dont think ill like my body. I know that the way I look isnt the most imprtant thing and that I need a healthy body and mind and all that jazz!Im not undermining that. Im just wondering will my weight go to my twiggy little arms and flat chest too?Because I dont want to stop gaining, I want to get to my goal weight, I dont want to stop here because I think my tummy and face are ok. If I do ill probabaly slip back. I want to get to my goal to have an overall healthy body.
Being realistic, you can't really influence where the weight is going to go because people come in all different shapes and sizes and carry weight differently. Maybe have a look at your parents or siblings for genetic clues? However, chances are that things will even up over time and - as you say - you need a healthy body and mind more than you need a 'perfectly proportioned' physique.
First good job on the progress. I can relate as I am not evenly distributed at the time. I agree with gi that some people carry weight in different areas more then others. I have read that people in recovery will gain in the areas it needs it most first and around a year after weight restoration it will even. Try to just focus on getting healthy. I am thinking of this like going through puberty though I am 31. A lot of discomfort and being awkward.
