Okay, I go to a gym where the weight area is just bombarded with guys and I kind of want to steer clear of that area. You never see a woman over there, kinda sad but oh well. Anyway, do you think its possible to get an effective weight training workout at home say with a variety of weights? I really need to start doing resistance training I think. Opinions?

If you invest in a couple pairs of dumbells you can get an effective full body workout at home. You can try checking out DVDs for sculpting, I personally reccommend Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. There are a few posts on it- it is a great workout!

I use db's at home. You just have to mix up your routine and increase the weights over time. I prefer working out in my own home. :)
I use The Firm workout series from the early years until now. I find that the weights are fine and several sets make progressing very smooth.
