Weight Up, Fists Up! 10 pounds in 6 weeks Group
I've been back in the USA for almost 4 months now. And since December, I've gained 10lbs. WTF? Yeah, ok the holidays were heavy, but not ridiculously so. I worked out, watch what I ate, and the poundage just kept creeping up. Wtf? It only took me like 1 month to gain 10 pounds, as well. It seems whenever I'm nearing the next 10 mark, i.e. going below 170, or 160, my body always likes to put up one hell of a fight. It was the same when I was trying to get below 160, which took forever and a day to do. Of course, one travel weekend put me over 160 to start the fight all over again.
So I'm 173-171 respectfully. I want to see that 169 soooo badly!
Time to suck it up. Keep eating well. Keep working out. I've been going as much as I can, as well as keeping busy and on my feet.
I need some motivation! I have to go back to Germany in 6 weeks! I don't want people to have "wow she's put on weight" as their 1st thought. I was actually hoping to LOSE weight during this time at home because of the non-fat, low-cal options that we have here that Germany does not.
Does anyone want to form a group? 10 pounds in 6 weeks??

I think challenges would work well.
10lbs in 6 weeks is completely doable. It'd be about 1.5lbs a week. Even if we just loose 8lbs, it's still a great loss.
It won't be easy, but if we can keep each other motivated and accountable for our actions. It can be done!

I've lost 13 lbs. since the beginning of the year and I feel like I've hit a bit of a wall. Seem to keep floating b/t 173-174. My goal is 10 pounds from here so I'm definitely in! Perfectly suited for my goals.

WEEKLY GOALS:
At least 3 cardio sessions per week
&nb sp; + 3 sets of 30 Crunches
&nb sp; + 3 sets of 20 Squats
&nb sp; + 3 sets of 15 Lunges
&nb sp; + Chest (push-ups or presses)
Eat Healthy! Eat “Wholey”!
Breakfast
- Protein, veggie or fruit, complex carb
Snack
- Protein, veggie or fruit
Lunch
- Protein, veggie, fruit, complex carb
Snack
- Protein veggie or fruit
Dinner
- Protein, veggie, complex carb
Every Day! Drink at least ½ your body weight in oz. of H20!
Log your Calories!

Once a Week! Enjoy a “free day”, but don’t go OVERBOARD!
AVOID
Simple Carbohydrates!

im so in this group! started a few days ago here when i stepped on the scale and saw the dreaded "7"! 173! how the hell did i gain back the 20 lbs i lost? yeah, no wonder why my jeans dont fit right. my face looks like a balloon. all puffy and stuff. makes me sick. WTF is right. girl. i am so with you guys. as a matter of fact, i got my lazy ass off the couch and now gonna move my lazy sitting ass from my computer chair to the elliptical. !!! haha

Hey everyone! I'm totally in for this challenge! I've been trying to lose weight for about a year now. I started at 158 and got down to my low of 129 back in January. Unfortuanately ever since then I feel like I can't control my eating and I've gained back up to 138. I know I'm still in a healthy range (I'm 5'8") but I really felt better at 129. It scares me that I've gained about 10 pounds so quickly after so much hard work that I put in. I'm ready to get back on track for good and not let my eating control my life. We can do this!

&nb sp; &nb sp; I came across your log your not a geek you are just having a hard time and you are frustrated weight loss makes akk of us that way at some point. All I can only tell you what works for me, counting mt calories I am on a 1300 calorie diet so I have to make sure that I keep count each day of whay I eat, and I excercise 30 minutes a day/ I don;t eat cake, doughnuts candynot any sweets unless it is in th weight watcher group because theor sweets are like 140 and some are 110 calories. this sounds like a great idea. I am stuck at an even 177 and it is going no where fast. I am leaving for Seattle on business in 4 weeks and this will help me keep it off while I am gone.
Hey everyone! So good news is yesterday I had people over at my house for a bbq and a few drinks and i stayed at around 1500! Today I did an 8K race and finished in 50 minutes then ran another mile so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to stay within my calorie limit today aswell. Unfortunately during the race it was raining the whole time and ti was like 55 degrees out so I was freeeezing.
I'm not going to make it to the gym today and my scale at home is horrible, so I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow or maybe Monday until I report my weight.
Noka - putting that chart on your wall will be great motivation! I think I might have to do something like that too.

Well! This weekend I stayed within my calorie range...weighed myself this morning and I've apparently gained 4 pounds!!!! Wtf? Since Saturday Morning! How does that even work? I know it's probably water retention, because i really haven't been staying hydrated. But STILL! UUGGGHHHH!!
Ok, rewind and reboot! Just gotta stick to my plan. Maybe it's because I had white pasta and a white bagel yesterday. My dad took me out for bagel and lox breakfasting yesterday, but then last night I ordered this lemon chicken soup and it had noodles in it...That really can't be ALL it right? And in all honesty, that's all I ate yesterday. A bagel with smoked salmon and veggies, a wedge of cream cheese and then the lemon chicken soup.
Anyways, just a reminder that this week's challenge is at least 3 days of cardio. I don't care if you walk, run or skip! Just do something to get that heart pumping!
Just checking in quick - ate horribly today but tomorrow's a new day and I plan on making it a good one. I was really bloated when I weighed myself tonight at the gym - up to 139.7...I can't believe I've gained so much back! Im hoping to have a really hard workout tomorrow too. Good luck everyone!

Today is going pretty well. Still super frustrated with this 4lb water retention thing. So weird, I got home from the gym last night, weighed myself before I took a shower and it went down to 173, then I weighed myself before going to bed and it went up again to 175, which changed to 174 in the morning.
I know i'm obsessing....i shouldn't weigh myself all the time like that, but when I retain water like that I go crazy with the weighing. My friend said that maybe my scale is broken, and it really has been acting up. Like I miraculously lost 20lbs this morning hahaha I WISH!
I think I'll sit in the sauna today...
Noka - I'm just like you with weighing myself, atleast on the random weekends I go home to my parents house because they have a nice scale. Otherwise I only weigh myself at the gym...which I do before and after my workouts haha...oh well.
Good news is the scale went down today for me - 136.4! I must have been retaining a lot of water or my stomach was just really full of food. So I got a good workout in today. I ran for 15 minutes then did a 45 minute circuits/aerobics class. I'm proud to report that I've been having a good eating day as well. My neighbor is making me dinner tonight then I'm off to the library - no food temptations there as I won't be bringing any money.

the water weight is finally OFF. I'm 171.8....not exactly a safe 171, but close! today i'll have a good work out and stay within my cals, and maybe that'll change to a safter 171 by tomorrow morning.
how has everyone else been doing in their weekly challenge??
i have but havent been having much luck. Some reason or another i have been swollen. I have been working out hard, and eating right around my calories so it should just be a matter of time i hope...
