Hi everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Missy and I live in Green Bay, WI. I joined CC after giving birth to my second daughter back in February. After having my first daughter I did the low carb diet and walked A LOT, I did lose the weight really fast(I lost 55 pounds in about 3 months), but I felt so unhealthy. So this time I am losing the weight in a healthy way and still doing pretty good.

My name is Debi I live in New Jersey.  I quit smoking in January and have gained 30 pounds...I am still not smoking and it is definently time to lose the weight.

I am hoping with a healthier diet and alot of walking and support from you guys I will be up to the challange.

My name is Heather, I live in Andover, MA, and I've been trying to shed ~20lbs over the past 3 years and get healthier with little success.  I'm hoping that by being a part of a challenge I won't give into food cravings and won't slack when it comes to exercising (late night cravings are my enemy!!)  ;)

I'm 22 so needless to say my weekends usually involve social drinking with friends.  I feel like this is where a lot of my calories come from and it's so hard not to give in and to have a good time with everyone else instead of sipping water.  Hopefully trending my calories everyday will be enough of an incentive!

My name is Hellena and I am 47 years old and a stay at home mom of three.  I live in the Bronx.

I have been heavy most of my adult life - I've lost 145 pounds in the past 11 months by counting calories and working out.  I hope to lose another 10-20 pounds before I have a lower body lift in August to take off all the excess skin.  
Hi, my name is Sara and I live in Turkey.  I moved here from Southern California and have only gained weight since I've been here.  It's tough on my self-esteem since, it seems, Turkish women don't go over 100 lbs! I'm pretty active and the extra weight has made it difficult to run and made me too self-conscious to swim in my bikini.  I'm ready for a healthier me. I'm 174 pounds and would like to be around 155 or something in a size 6-8.  :)

Hi, I just joined a few minutes ago after once again overstuffing myself even though the entire time I was eating I kept saying to myself ....this is not healthy.  I am hoping that by being accountable to others I will behave myself.  I live in Dubai and even though the gym is very very close to me I have an infant and so find it difficult to go.(they don't have daycare)  Okay enough excuses I am ready to do something now.    Have a good day.  
Hi everyone.  I'm Carol from Denver.  I'm super-active and usually eat healthy foods, but seem to gain weight regardless!  I have a ton of races this summer, and want to look great crossing the finish line.  Also, I quit smoking about 2 years ago and gained 15 lbs that seem very attached to my bum (I sympathize dmarcocci).  :)  So, I'm ready to be accountable for the quantity of food I eat - I'm ready to not be full everytime I'm done eating!  And, unfortunately, need to reduce the wine intake...   

So, let's kick some butt!  I'm totally excited about this!
Hi Team 3.  I just joined and am looking forward to it.  My name is Katy and I live in West Palm Beach, Florida, but grew up my whole life in GB.  Hey Missy!  Small world.

I am ready to lose these last pesky 10 lbs for a family reunion in July and wedding - which I am officiating (my good friend from college) at the beginning of August!  WOO HOO!  Let's kick butt.
It's so good to hear from people with similar struggles as me.  I jog, swim, yoga, dive, bike, and love new sports, and I crave veggies instead of french fries, and I still gain!  I too quit smoking a couple years ago, and I probably drink too much red wine, so I'm not without sin. lol.

I met my cal intake goal for Monday!  Let's go time #3!

I missed out on yesterdays calorie challenge.  I am in it for today.  Want to try and earn team 3 some points. 

I do have a question...does anyone know of an easy way to calculate calories for the day say for like chicken breast or london broil or something that doesnt' have calorie on the package.  Is there somewhere to look it up.

It was a holiday here in Canada yesterday, so I didnt post, but I will meet my caloric goal for today!!

Im so pumped to be part of this challenge!!

debi - i usually just do a google search on things i don't know calories for.  my search string is usually "calories in xxx".  sometimes i check two or three sites, but i can typically find a decent count for whatever i'm looking for.

Hey Team 3! Let's kick some butt and win this challenge! : ) My name is Alyssia, I'm 17, and I reside in Indiana. I've lost 61 pounds so far, and am at 179. (stuck here I guess you could say). I'm hoping to lose some pounds with this competition, but I don't know if it'll happen to much. I have only lost 1 pound this month, and I've got 39 more to lose. I am on the Learn To Run program so as the weeks get harder, I'm hoping that I will lose some weight. I met my caloric intake goal for yesterday. So, I earned us some points. I am also hoping that being accountable for other people will make me think twice about that bag of after dinner mints I wanted to buy this weekend. : )

I did also find on this site the food log gives you the calories when you log in your daily food.

Hey guys, I'm Cass from Denver and I'm a college soccer player. I want to lose 10-15 lbs for season and of course summer! -- college put a lot of stress on my body and I put on a lot of weight post season this year.

My net calorie goal is 1250

       My name is Veronica, 25, from Sacramento.  I'm in the process of losing about 20 lbs but am not very strict of consist on counting calories.  Hopefully, I'll get us a few points for sticking to some goals.
