I actually am 5'3!!!  That's what I thought I was, but I measured myself and am wrong.  I'm just leaving my height as 5'5, though, since I started with these stats.  OK?

- A big CONGRATS to your 4 pound weight loss and end of plateau!!!!!

diana2356- Whatever you decide, if you want to leave it or change it, just let me know.
I'm going to leave it, because I THINK it will change my BMI.  I wonder if there's any chance I'll get the inches back through exercize!
Thank you :-)  Savouring the moment - have a big party next weekend, so it might be a different story next week...

I have to lose this weight before the wedding!!!!!!!!!

Good luck team #1 (and everyone else too!)

Amy
OK, just to verify the sodium thing.  I just looked up salt and 1 tsp has bascially the daily equivalent for sodium (2325 g).  Is that possible?  It seems like it would be really hard to stay within sodium range if you use any salt at all (which I like to do to flavor veggies when I'm cooking or a little on my salad).

I know I can use other herbs & "salt-free" substitutes but just wanted to verify that this information is correct about "table salt" and sodium...If this is correct, this will be a very enlightening and challenging challenge for me.
Thanks.

You are correct cdanda. 1tsp of salt does equal 2325mg and the recommended (by the Mayo Clinic and others) is 1500-2400mg.

I know it doesn't sound like much at all, but it is more than one would think.

Hi all! I'm new so just wanted to say hello.

I'm 29 yrs old I've been married to the most wonderful man now for nine years (July 25th) and we have three beautiful children, two boys 5 and 3 yrs and one girl 2yrs old.

According to my doctor my ideal weight is 175-185 so I need to lose anywhere from 29 to 19lbs (although 14lb is my goal for the next 7 weeks) and being part of a competition will definitely help keep me motivated.

monday

Water 3 litres (about 12.5 cups)

Sodium - loads. Damn!  I was doing so well, had about 500something for the day, then remembered seeing my boyfriend adding loads of salt to my dinner.  Grrr.  Sabotage!  Plus, I don't usually use the food diary on here, so have sat here and entered all my food, just to find out I didn't make it :-(
That bites starbeam22.  But look on the bright side... You have already earned Team 1- 4 points for losing 4 pounds and if you met your goal another 1 point plus .5 point for the water portion of the challenge.  :)

Is this how you want it undertherainbow?  Does that sodium seem right to you?
Most definitely amyb!

The recommended amount of sodium is between 1500 - 2400mg.   Great job on keeping your sodium low!  As well as drinking 72 oz. of water!

I haven't even had dinner yet and my sodium level is at 1485mg but I was bad today and had fast food. :\
