My weight was all over the place this week!!! Talk about a bouncing ball!!! I'm so glad I made my goal...over and over and over, since I made it early in the week and then it went way up and down and up...I have no idea why!

I don't mean to diss the bonus round this week, but doesn't the 3500 cals burned = 1 pound loss apply to your total caloric deficit, not necessarily the amount of actual calories you burn a week? If I burn 500 cals a day and consume 2500, then I really am not gonna see the weight go away when I should be eating between 1200-1400 net cals, not 2000...
This is what I found (there are more articles, I just didn't feel like posting them all):
How Many Calories Make 1 Pound of Weight? "About 3,500 calories adds up to about 1 pound. This applies whether they are food calories coming in, or calories (burned by exercise) going out."
Calories in a Pound of Fat "we need to burn 3500 extra calories per pound of fat so we must actively move to increase the total calories burned."
Women's Health "Yes to lose just one pound of fat you will have to burn up 3500 calories. You don't have to burn up all 3500 calories at one time. You can do it bit by bit. You can also avoid calories in order to avoid gaining weight. The fewer calories you add to your daily diet, the fewer you will have to try to burn off every day."
So in essence, you could 1) eat less and create a 500 calorie deficit to equal up to 3500 calories after 7 days or 2) burn 500 calories a day to equal 3500 calories after 7 days.
