Any weird food dreams?

Quote  |  Reply

Last night I dreamed about an epic peanut butter and jelly sandwich with this strange lumpy jelly I've never bought before and with crushed almonds in the sandwich and organic peanut butter. It actually seemed really healthy, and in my dream (I guess I achieved lucidity?) I thought "I'm eating a sandwich like that for breakfast!".  LOL! It was just really random and pointless and I couldn't remember if it really happened or not until I realized we don't have any jelly in the house.

Anyone else have weird food dreams?

Wahahaha! Peanut butter and jelly taste really good during the summer, don't they? Too bad they are so high in calories...( *>3<*)

A couple nights ago I ate perfectly to my calorie limit. I was really proud of myself( Especially since I haven't been so diligent during this summer break and that particular night my Papa brought home my favourite Chinese dish). That night I had a dream where I got up later in the evening and ate all of the leftover Chinese food. Afterwards I just started crying in my dream thinking " I did so well calorie-wise today, too! Why did I mess this up?!"

It was so weird and real I checked my refrigerator the next morning to make sure the left overs were still there. ( oxo );;; Thankfully they were!

In my experience, food dreams usually occur when I under-eat =/.

I had a dream a few months ago that I wandered in to my kitchen in the middle of the night, opened the fridge and pulled out the cold-cuts drawer (which we don't have), pulled out a cold cooked chicken breast(which we don't have) and took a big bite. I'm a vegan because I HATE meat and in the dream I spit out the bite and was like "That's gross." Then I tossed the chicken breast in to the fridge and went back to bed.

It was really odd. It also made me wonder if I was secretly chewing on my hubby's arm.

I had a dream that there was this calorie-scale thing that tells you how many calories are in whatever you are eating.  Well, I got a sandwich from Quizno's, and I remember just peeling stuff off it to get the scale to say 100 calories.  When I was done, all that was left was like a molecule of bread, lettuce, and a tomato slice.  Lol.

Last night I dreamed I was at dinner w/my parents and bf.  The waitress came around and said the kitchen was closing at 6:07, which was the current time, so I had to make my decision quickly.  However, everything on the menu was fried, or battered and fried! I couldn't even find a healthy salad or grilled meat on the menu.  I was very frustrated! Then my bf ordered a patty melt, which I considered ordering also, but I wasn't going to let myself fall off the wagon.  My parents ordered a bottle of wine, cheese, cherries, and bread w/dipping oil. My mom said we wouldn't need wine glasses, we'd just "chug" it right from the bottle! I don't think I ordered any food.  Maybe I was just going to eat cheese and drink wine?  Mmmm patty melt.......

for the first four or five years i was a vegetarian i would have scary dreams.  my grandma's soup won the prize at the fair so i ate it and it had chicken in it.  someone held a gun to my head and tried to make me eat a hot dog.  i think this is a diet dream the same way i had veggie dreams and alcohol dreams.  just the brain purging all of its stuff for the day.

Hahahaha, well I had a dream where I was the little boy in the movie "Matilda" and had to eat the huge chocolate cake.......................

I guess that counts as a weird food dream?

About a week after I started my diet, I had dream in which I absolutely gorged myself on Reese's peanut butter cups and huge fountain cherry cokes from Sonic. I guess it was good that I did that, because in the dream I got so sick from the sugar rush that even half an hour after I woke up my stomach was still hurting. Weird. But I didn't crave any sugar again for a week and every time I smell chocolate or peanut butter, I feel sick to my stomach again, even though it's been over a month. It was kind of like when I got sick after drinking way too much tequila in college one night. I still can't even smell tequila anymore, or it makes me sick like that. Hopefully my aversion to Reese's cups and cherry cokes will last forever, because they used to be my biggest temptation. :)

I dream of pizza.  Then again, sometimes I dream about smoking and I've never been a smoker.  I used to work as a chef in some busy restaurants, so I'll have stress dreams that I'm on the line again, or that I'm in the walk-in fridge and can't find the ingredients I want.

I think when I first started changing my eating habits I would dream about all the food I was missing.  I think those were stress dreams too.  Now that I'm comfortable with my lifestyle, they don't really happen anymore.

I once dreamed I was swimming in a root beer float bigger than an Olympic-sized pool.  Somehow I was eating it too... mmm...
