So, I saw a forum post on here ( Check it out: http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/post/111 273.html ) and it got me wondering. Bingers, what is the top 10 weirdest things you've found yourself eating? It can be gross, unique, or down right weird. I think I'll start off, if y'all don't mind

1. Matchsticks
2. Straight mustard
3. Yoghurt and cheese sticks
4. Coffee grounds
5. 1 whole canister of straight cinnamon
6. pasta (from a garbage can, not my finest hour of all time)
7. 1 clam of raw mushrooms
8. oatmeal and chicken together
9. Yoghurt drops (intended for hamsters, but it tastes like regular yoghurt)
10. Raw fish and Splenda

wow lets see here

My top 10 would have to be:

1. dry mix of hot coco

2. lots of raw cookie dough

3. like a 1/2 gallon ice cream in 1 sitting

4. butter and bread

5. cereal and poptarts mixed in

6. muffin mix

7. spoonfuls of icing

8. milk and lots of coffee creamer

9. stole food from my bro's room (his xmas candy)

10. cookies!! (not bizzaree, but quite common)

My weirdest was probably saltine crackers with peanut butter, topped with an oh-so-appealing slice of processed cheese! yummo. not. Yell

My number one would probably have to be straight Wishbone Italian Salad Dressing. It tasted great at the time.

This is just what i need to remind myself how much i HATE bingeing.

well usually i go for things i hate or being vegetarian i really screw myself over with the meat.

tuna and jam

dog biscuit

jam and raisins sandwhiche

almost defrosted potatoe waffles with noodles on bread

oatmeal in lemon juice

frozen vegetables anyone? ouch.

icecream on garlic bread becase i had no utensils and my fingers were burnt

pizza with lemon cheesecake on top(how I found them in the bin*shudder*there's been alot of random leftovers actually:()

ugh this is too depressing. i'm going to rememberthis next time i find my hand in the cereal box.

oh and the first time i went and actually bought binge food -instead of finding myself in the kitchen with whatever happened to be there- i was so out of it i spilled the chocolate into the curry chips by accident and just ate them together.

Oh so many. Off the top of my head:

1. Food from the bin. Eurgh.

2. A whole jar of peanut butter

3. A whole jar of nutella

4. An out-of-date (by 2 months) coconut cake

5. A box of ready made icing

6. Tortilla wraps covered in butter

7. Whole tubs of hummu

8. A whole box of dry cereal

9. Spoonfuls of mayonnaise

10. Massive hunks of cheese.

Gross list. It's making me feel hungry though D:

I once ate a whole canister of sour cream and onion flavouring that you're supposed to shake onto popcorn. At the time I thought I was being dead smart because it was much less calories than eating the popcorn. "Why don't I do this all the time? I could give up crisps altogether!" I said smugly to myself.

Then I checked the amount of sodium in there.

I spent the rest of the day trying not to have a heart attack. Oh, and I gained 5lbs in water weight. Not doing that again...

weirdest food i binged on would probably be:

1. vanilla pudding and instant coffee powder (weirdly bitter, not good)

2. undercooked coconut cake (indigestible)

3. banana and cream cheese, or cheese dunked in sugar (fairly nice)

4. bread and dry roasted nuts sandwich (like making peanut butter in your mouth)

5. shirataki noodles with ff ranch dressing and garlic powder (ugh)

6. cottage cheese with chocolate chip cookies (bad! my cookies tasted cheesy but my cottage cheese didn't taste chocolatey)

7. egg microwaved with random contents from fridge (very good!)

8. dry hot chocolate powder and butter (disgusting)

9. bread with whipped cream sprayed on top (nice)

10. salad dressings, jams, condiments etc straight (tasted nice but what was i thinking??)

ps: wow. how in the world do you eat matchsticks? Like, isn't it kind of hard to swallow?

1. Raw buckwheat, oats, barley, rice, pasta, quinoa, rye berries.

2. Mustard, horseradish (I'll eat the whole jar if no one stops me)

3. Cinnamon

4. Unsweetened cocoa powder

5. Rat seed mixes, Bird seed mixes

6. Frozen bread

7. Asparagus (probably 50 or so raw sticks)

8. Hot asian sauce..drank it down.

9. Pickled ginger

10. Lemons

  1. Dry hot chocolate powder mixed with sweetened coconut flakes
  2. Oat bran
  3. Frozen microwave burritos (wonder I didn't get food poisoning...)
  4. Frozen bread/hot dog buns
  5. Banana dipped in cappucino powder
  6. Tex mex flavoured shredded cheese melted in the microwave.
  7. Hot chocolate powder with a small amount of milk (actually, if you do this before adding water, it makes the hot chocolate all nice and foamy.  If you make it for the express purpose of binging, expect a stomach ache two tablespoons in.)
  8. Countless boxes of dry cereal
  9. Ditto for granola bars
  10. Vanilla rice krispies with milk and hot chocolate powder
haha can you say sweet/carb tooth?  Although a lot of those actually tasted really good...(obviously not the burrito...eurgh, what was I thinking?)

Wow.  How have some of you guys been able to eat  physically eat some of those foods?

I have binged on pieces of bread , slathered with mustard…  and I have had a teaspoon or two of the mustard out of the jar…. If it was mild I guess you could have more without it burning your nose out?

Oh - and I have eaten foods OUT OF THE BIN before too - usually foods I STARTED to binge on, and then threw out in an attempt to STOP myself…  only to go back later and eat them out of the bin any way LOL!

STRAIGHT CINNAMON?   I just read over the OP again……..   &nbs p; Wouldn’t that physically HURT?  If I  sprinkle too much cinnamon on things it is hard to eat too much of… I dunno how you physically ate it straight!?

I have never tried having condiments right out of the jar? Or salad dressing?  Doesn’t that hurt/sting   due to the dressing being tangy?

And ANIMAL FOOD?     What does that taste like lol!? When I was very young I wanted to see what my dogs biscuit things tasted like - they smelt really salty and nice and I was always tempted to try one… LOL!

I ate dry ingredients/ uncooked flour while I was making a fruit cake… but not binge!  Fortunately I did not get a stomach ach from the uncooked flour…..  How about you guys who have eaten a lot of it? Did you get a stomach ach from eating indigestible food?

Personaltrainer, with mustards and horseradish, I first take a little bit on my spoon, then I take a spoonful, then another, and soon I can't stop! I'm addicted to the burning sensation! I love wasabi too! That tube of wasabi is gone in a week usually (and I'm the only one eating it!). Horseradish is always gone in one sitting.

Cinnamon and unsweetened cocoa powder: I sprinkle it on my hand, then lick it off..repeat 100 times, and before you know it, I binged and my throat stings (especially from the cinnamon). Then I'll end up having handfuls of rolled oats..

Bird/rat food: it's mostly seeds and nuts, and dried corn/peas (for rat food). It tastes just like the grains I eat raw (barley, oats, buckwheat, etc) but with more flavor! I don't eat the lab blocks (the unidentifiable little squares similar to dog biscuits).

Heh, hope that explained it! And I too eat cake/brownie batter (but not binge, because I know I have to make the actual cake!).

Haven't eaten like this in years thankfully, but I still remember:

(1) Moldy hot dog bun because I ate it at night and it was dark

(2) A bag of brown sugar.

(3) A mixture of vanilla dairy creamer, chai tea powder mix, and sweetner.

Hahaha, I can't think of anything really strange that I have eaten but I just wanted to say that this thread made me laugh pretty hard. I am starting to think this whole "binge" dilemma everyone keeps talking about is really just a bad case of the munchies lol

Original Post by x17star17x:

I binge, but I can't say I've had a strange binge. It's always been straight to the cereal box.

I should start a post talking about how you've commited death to your binges.

One time I threw a box of cheerios out my back door (okay I've done this a few times - second time was captain crunch), I've smashed a bag of tortilla chips in my kitchen floor, I've melted a 1/2 gallon of ice cream in the sink with super hot water saying "die die die!".

Binges suck.

hahahaha I have done this too!!!!! and whats even worse is that I have on occasions bought a heap of chocolate bars eaten 1 or 2 then thought to myself why am I doing this? and put the rest in the bin. The shamefully a few hours later gone back to get them and eaten them (only when still in the wrapper)!

This would have been my exact list, minus 4 & 9!

I also one had a whole packet of Rich Tea biscuits with pate on top. The combination of sweet and savory was vile!

Lol. You guys are...um different. Smile

I think the weirdest thing I would do was mix some vanilla icing into some bluebells cookies n cream ice cream.

I used to pig out on chili and cornbread, or italian food. Oh, and I used to add a TON of cheese to everything. Till it looked like cheese + whatever.

Well, I've certainly had my fair share of binges, so its safe to say that I can't remember everything I've eaten. However, there are definitely a few things that have stood out amidst the pounds of food. The type of thing where, upon retrospection, you can't be sure whether to laugh or be disgusted.

This post has opened my eyes a little bit actually, its always good to know you aren't the only person who caved into some strange fixation during a binge.

Anyways, in no particular order, 10 things that I can remember eating that I wouldn't eat under normal (non-binge) circumstances:

- Dry Oats with Miracle Whip
- Cooked Linguine with Peanut Butter, Mustard, Italian Dressing, Syrup, Honey, Miracle Whip, Mayonaise, Ketchup, and Ranch Dressing mixed in
- Frosted Shredded Wheat cereal with Mustard and Ranch Dressing
- Caned Tuna with Honey and Peanut Butter mixed in
- Wheat Pancakes with Mustard and Syrup
- A burrito, with: Salsa, Banana, Chicken, Syrup, Avocado, Pico De Gallo, Mustard
- A Pizza, Brownie, Ranch Dressing sandwich (2 slices Pizza, Brownie in Middle)
- Stale Bread slathered with Miracle Whip, Peanut Butter, etc.
- An entire Box of Shredded Wheat (The Big Ones) with Italian Dressing, Mayonnaise, Peanut Butter
- An entire 100% Cocoa Baking Bar with Honey and Ranch Dressing

I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones I can remember. When it comes to binging, I tend to remember just enough to stave off the next binge, not the nasty details, lol.

So, reading these posts and the very weird and disgusting binges has me wondering...

My binges have only been "weird" when I am absolutely desperate and there is no way for me to go out and get something that I would really prefer to binge on such as cookies, chocolate, and ice cream.  I would never think of combining some of these concoctions.  Is that how it is with most of you guys as well or is there something about the binge mentality that makes, for example,  mustard and peanut butter seem really delicious?!

I think its a mental thing, for me personally when I have a craving its for a certain item, when I have a binge, its really for anything and everything its just the need to feel full. My usual is lots of cereal and muesli bars and toast, makes me have the full feeling.

Whenever i get stoned i just usually go on a mission to the gas station, buy tons of burritos and sausage, egg, cheese sammich's, eat them, stop at a burger joint or something on the way home.Nothing out of the ordinary, really.

But i have noticed that if im drinking and start binging its always something really bad.

1.a Gin,rum, bourbon and diet coke ice cream 'soup'

2.Wasabi&Horseradish,tabasco,cheese and peanut butter sammich.(the burn rules all!And the peanut butter and cheese make it sort of like a delicous burning napalm sticky sandwich thingy)

3.cooked shrimp, beef ramen, chicken ramen, hot and spicy ramen, spicey cheese raman, and pizza.Put into a blender, then drank.Iiiiick.

4.raw eggs with sugar and curry on top of a peice of toast with butter and chicken.

5.Any deepfried foods from a grocery store, deepfried AGAIN at home. With ranch, mayonnaise and lard.

6.Meat sandwich.Drunk me likes to cook some hamburgers, steak, and brats and use the steak or hamburgers for bread, there is usually bacon involved.

7.Bacon with that 'bacon salt' stuff thats popular online.

8.A cake with beef boullion and bacon grease in the frosting.I dont know why, either.

9.two heads of lettuce. It was quite a impressive feat, and lettuce has few calories so it didnt totally slay me.

10.i would dip jalapeno peppers directly into a butter+lard+tabasco+horseradish+curry and avacado 'dip'.

11.Avacados with anything. No,really. anything. italian dressing? yes.In icecream? yup. with mustard, choclate dip and ketchup?

several times,baby.
