Weirdest post-partum symptom?
I'm 2.5 months pp, and I'm still feeling it...
Every couple of days, or maybe once a week I get really REALLY hormonal and I just can't stand to be around anyone, and I snap at the smallest things.
Another thing that is totally bizarre that I didn't know about is that I am shedding hair like a dog in the summertime! In the shower, I'm pulling out handfuls of hair when I wash it...
What are some weird post-partum things you have to deal with?
My hair fell out after my first child. It was very alarming at first but it slowed down and eventually stopped.
Right now, I'm 10 weeks postpartum after my second child and while I'm not losing my hair, it's extremely greasy. I haven't changed products or anything. I wash it every morning and when I dry it, it's instantly greasy at the roots. I have started using an anit-residue shampoo and it helps a little but I'm still having the problem. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging but I have had perfect hair my whole life. My current situation is driving me nuts!
Women must have a hormone shift around this time.
My son is 8 weeks old, and besides the PP depression, I have the sweats! I mean...I'm drenched. LOL.
6 weeks PP here.
I still have unbelievable night sweats. I am extremely gassy too![]()
I'm actually still quite pregnant but I've read that the hair shedding is completely normal. It seems that while you're pregnant, your hair stops shedding as it usually would, which is partially why it gets thicker during pregnancy. After birth, you shed the hair that you would normally have shed throughout the pregnancy. It should slow down and get back to normal.
That's what the books say anyway.
My son will be 3 months old on the 2nd and I just started shedding as well. My bathtub looked like I just bathed a dog after I got done washing my hair and shaving my legs - holy cow! Gross
I know it will stop though - it did with my daughter but I was left with a lot of hair loss at my hair line so when it grew back in I looked like a little girl trying to grow bangs and there was nothing I could do about it. I hope that doesn't happen again! Anyways - post pardum is crazy...I think the night sweats are helping you to shed water weight so be thankful that your bodies are working for you and not against you!!
How long does the shedding last?? It's kinda making me crazy.
I had the night sweats for about a month after his birth...I also had the day sweats too... :P
