Welcome Back, Traffic :p

Well, looks like Summer is official over and the traffic is back. :p I don't know if any of the rest of you commute via car like I do, but... it was hairy out there. I didn't miss it.

I commute very early in the morning, so I miss the really slow, heavy traffic.  I have noticed a little more traffic in the afternoon though, but once I get up to G'town and pick up my son, I take back roads that don't have any school bus stops on the route. :)  I keep telling myself that I only have to put up with the traffic insanity for another 10 years, then we're outta here... if some crazy driver doesn't kill me first. lol

Traffic sucked today. I nearly developed road rage. Stupid drivers inching along. Alot more traffic for me. Just.. meh. I hate the traffic here. With a passion.

And when does traffic into the city (or area) not suck?  It's even gotten bad on the weekends (when it used to be pretty dead on the beltway).

Infrastructure has obviously not kept pace with the increased population in the metro area.  I'm hopeful that more Federal agencies adopt more flexible work schedules and work at home policies to get people off the roads to at least decrease the volume of cars.
