As Jenn summed it up so nicely........here it is............

We will be doing Couch to 5K, starting August 4th, ending the week of October 6th. We will be doing the first week TWICE to help us get started, thereby making a nine week program last ten weeks.

We will be weighing in on Mondays, with an optional weigh-in on Friday for those who want to.

Everyone will be doing the platform of their choice (elliptical, treadmill, street) and will choose their own days on which to run, due to varying schedules."

Lulu, when I started losing weight, I just walked for 30-45 minutes everyday, and started watching what I ate, and it was great.  Speedwalking is great exercise, and will get you in shape so that you can start running.  I think it is great that you have a new treadmill, so that you can fit your workout in whenever it works for you.  The real reason I started running was that after a few months of walking it was getting too easy for me!  That will happen for you too, I know it!

I have been having a frustrating few weeks regarding weight loss, but I am trying to focus on what I have accomplished so far rather than the long road to 131lbs.!

Running has been good this week.  I ran for a total of 50 minutes (15 min., 20 min.,15 min. with about 5 min. of walking between runs)  on Sunday with a friend, that got me going for the week.  Then 35 min. on Tuesday, and 20 min. today.  I think my foot is finally completely better, which hopefully means I can start increasing my runs a little in the next few weeks.

Hope everyone else is doing well.  I know that we are all kind of going in different directions, but it helps me a lot to read all of your posts!

Hope everyone is having a good week. I started week 2 today. Such a busy week, report cards and parent-teacher conferences hard to fit in a workout and to eat right....but I'm trying. I seem to be stuck at 194.4, but with persistence I know it will eventually go down.

Happy running!

Hey all-

So, I'm still running...but it's getting boring.  Today I really had to drag myself out of bed and force myself to stay on the treadmill for 35 minutes...the ONLY thing that made me do it was the fact that I have run 3 times a week EVERY week since August, and I don't want to break my streak.  I guess that's as good a reason as any, right?  As long as I get out there...

Maybe I need some new music...or maybe I should just bite the bullet and take a week or so off so I don't get burnt out.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi Everyone!

Well  I haven't been writing much because  I haven't been running.  My foot has been bothering me on and off.  It never is really bad, but I think I need to give it a nice long break from running so that I do not mess it up forever.   I am planing on giving it at least another 5 days, because I already have been off of it for 6.  I have been using workout shows in the morning so that I get some kind of exercise, and that is helping.   I am just trying to be good with my eating. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hello all....so it's a month until Christmas! That's when I hoped to get to my mini-goal but I'm 7.5 away. With all the temptations from now until then I don't think I'll make it, but that's OK. I'm on the right path and maybe I'll get there by New Years.

Just finished my last run of week 2 version 2. I did it while watching the biggest loser then just walked slowly until the show was done. Will start week 3 hopefully on Thursday.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my running friends south of the border! Hope you have a wonderful time with friends and family.Laughing

jinx, you are doing great! I am so proud of you. I have no doubts that you will get to where you want to be, and thats for sure. Hope everyone is doing well!

Finished week 3. Will try to start week 4 Thursday. So crazy busy this time of year!

How is your walking going Lulu?

Hope everyone is doing well.

**edit**

So....I haven't done any running for over a week. Crazy busy. Can't see things improving next week either. Might have to start again over Christmas holidays.
