I know how you all feel! I am a bit young and I am about 75 pounds. I am very picky with food. I eat very small meals. I exercise a sometimes (I'm no weight lifter, but I don't sit on the couch all day either). I want to fill out my figure, but so far nothing has worked. Oh well. We're on the same path, here. With everyone trying to lose weight now days, we all tend to forget about those of us who really need to gain something! I'm hoping for help and support, too!

my name is lela. i was a premi and have always been verysmall only weighing 127 pounds the day i gave birth to my 7 pound baby boy. but a year ago when i left an abusive relationship and lost my best friend i have had a hard time gaining and motivating myself to gain. any help or encouragement would be helpful.

You have to remember to always love yourself. It can be hard with out friends and family but to be healthy and happy with yourself can be one of the greatest gifts you can give your child. Keep trying but if you feel like you did not have a great day, don't beat yourself up about it.  I tend to eat less when I stress.  good luck!!

I graze eat through out the day eating big meals is just too hard. I eat what makes me feel good.  Mostly fruit and veggies, but to gain I try to eat a little more. Air popped popcorn before bed is a must of me. Sometimes it works other times not, but you can't give in. I have learned this because I have been dealing with complicated medical problems for sometime.  good luck

thank you. i also have an anxity and panic disorder and that plays havoc with my eating, i just dont eat if my stomach is in knots and i caught a bad cold so the soar throat makes it harder and i am getting so tired of soup.

Have you tried having juice ? Its higher calorie and some taste good warm so it may feel good on your throat. I think apple and cranberry taste fine that way.  Or stream or boil veggies and then puree then so there like baby food.  Hope you feel better soon.
PS i like tea with honey too

Hi I'm Abby i'm 5ft 11 wich is pretty tall lol and always been quite skinny, am trying to gain atleast 20 pounds and i'm very determined to succeed!

Hi, I'm Natalie, I'm about 5'0" and weigh around 37.5kg as of 14 Sep 09. I haven't had much luck throughout the whole 17 years I've been on this earth to put on much weight, the only time I was a healthy weight was when I was a child. I hate having no meat on me.

I'm not lazy, I do move around, I work full time as an apprentice, I'm always on my feet at work, filing, retrieving etc and at home I clean a fair bit, do the laundry, wash the dishes etc, so I do keep active.

I don't exactly eat much, I don't really get the time to. I try to eat a lot of high carb foods whenever I do get the chance, but I seem to lose the weight faster than what I put it on. In a period of 7 days, I lost 1.2kg. Although it doesn't seem much to everyone, it is a lot to me.

My goal is to reach 53kg (gain 15.5 kg) so I could be at a healthy BMI level.

Hi everyone

My name is Lujza, I'm a 19 year old student from Macedonia(Europe). I'm 5`6" and my weight now is around 47kg. In only two weeks I've lost 4 kg,cause I was having some health problems. Now I'm skinier than ever. And I hate that.

There are days when I eat properly, and some days I just cant stand food in my mouth and i think thats the main reason I can't put some meat on bones. I.m tired of people telling me that I should gain weight, I know that!!! I feel realy insecure about me. My goal is to reach 60 kg (gain 10-13 kg) so I could feel good about me,and look healthy.

Best wishes to all of you

and I hope we get out ideal weight.

Hi to all, my name is Chase and I'm 20 yrs. old. I have been struggling for as long as I can remember to gain weight. I'm 5'8 and I only weigh 117 lbs. I'm just never hungry it seems. I try to eat more (at a time) but my days are too busy to eat very consistently (more meals per day). I really would like to know if anyone is as underweight as I am. It's not that it makes me feel self conscious or that I'm worried about my health, I'm just ready to see a little more than skin and bone in the mirror. The little weight I do if is only skin and bone and a little muscle here and there. I believe the problem is that my metabolism is TOO FAST! Anyway, if anyone would like to reply or message me with any suggestions or ways they are gaining/have gained I'd really appreciate it. Nice to meet you all, Chase

Hello Everyone, my name is Eddie i'm 19 years old i'm 6ft and weight 130. I've been skinny for a long time, and whatever i do i can't gain weight. While attending high, i was always the skinny one in all my classes; i remember girls would wrap their hands around my wrist and always said, "You need to eat more, your so skinny". I always got frustrated when people told me i was skinny, "like come on, you don't have to remind me". I do eat, SO MUCH, I love food, and i think food is the best thing in life. :D Whatever looks good i'm going to eat, and i hate sharing my food. I can eat like 2 Hot N' Spicy's 3
Double Cheeseburger and Large fries, and I'll still be hungry. Once i finish eating a meal i get so sleepy that i have to take a nap; once i wake up my stomach is growling because i'm hungry again. I guess i'm considered underweight; it would be great to gain a few pounds.   If anyone has any tips to gain weight please let me know, or if someone has the same problem and would like to work together to gain weight; go ahead and message me.

Hi I'm Val, currently I'm 108 and I hoping to be 120 in about 2 months, I'm just tired of being this tiny, random people always ask me if I starve myself (which I don't), most people think being skinny is a blessing but when I look in the mirror I hate how i look cuz I really think I'm too thin for my age ---> 21.  so I'm just trying to get to a healthier weight and more importantly being able to maintain it.

Understand completely i get asked that a lot too.  Usually more on the staving your self.  I hope to see 100 pounds again even though I need to weigh more than that.  Good luck in your goal. If you don't mind me asking how tall are you? I'm trying to figure how much i should weight.  I am 26, 5ft 2in and 84 pounds. This is 20 pounds up from were I was a few months ago.  I am kind of stuck. Seems like I slowed down in the gaining. Oh well I will keep trying.

1) I don't have a history of weight loss (I assume the question should have been "weight gain") In any event, sustaining weight is always an issue for me.  My weight will fluctuate between 135 and 141lbs.  At 6', that's not really a good look.  I'm changing that.

2) Just joined CC last night and I love it already.

3) I'm joining to share my experience and learn from others.

4) I'm a photographer and have learned how to give my self portraits more depth to give me a beefier appearance . LOL.

Hi, I'm Cassandra and looking to gain some weight.  I'm 29 years old, and currently weigh around 95 lbs.  I have an anemia problem which seriously affects my weight gain.  I more so lose weight then gain it, which makes it very difficult for me, except for when I was pregnant with my kids.  My average weight was 105 lbs and I'm looking to get that back but I would prefer to get my weight up to 110 lbs.  If anyone has any suggestions, or advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey... so this is the first time I've joined a group for weight gaining and I really hope it helps. I'm about to turn 23, I'm 5'2 and 107 pounds. It seems like whenever i do gain a pound i end up losing 2 more. I just want to look like a woman you know.

Okay... now i understand i'm not alone!  :)

Dorothy... underweight... all my life...  people thought I was an alien in middle school, or so it felt...

I eat sooo much and nothing.   I like to exercise but stopped, thinking it wasn't helping me any.  I just began exercising again (toning up, not trying to lose weight) because I heard this is also needed to gain more muscle rather than just fat.  And I actually gained a pound!  lol...  Yeah, my body went back to 100lbs.  I'm 25 and 5'4".  Had a baby boy who's 1 now... thought I'd stay with the pounds I had gained... but NOPE... didn't.  I wonder if it was because I breastfed for 8 months.  I wonder if I shouldn't breastfeed for my next child...

Seems as though we're all looking for the same thing... but I've been convinced that the best way to gain is eating more Healthy foods.... but I DO!!  and I can't even imagine if I'll EVER gain because i've tried and tried and tried... anyway... that's me. :)

oh, and I feel as though I need to say this... I also love God/Jesus.  It's nice to know some of you do too :).
