Hey!
My name is Bianca and I'm 19! I'm a sophmore in college and an actress. My dad got me into taking this p90x work out program and I havn't been dieting as much as I should, so I joined calorie count. I weight 102.5 lbs, so I'm not really trying to lose weight, I'm trying not to gain any more fat. I want what I have to be converted into muscle and I sa your low calorie foods site and thought, that could be helpful:) I work to jobs as a hostess at sam's cafe and a sales associate at cache at the biltmore, and I love them both. I have an adorable parrot named aquila that i've had for 7 and a half years. And I can't wait to get a super thin body! I lovechatting and cooking and would love to really get to know some of you better so if you want to talk just shoot me a post! Ciao!
Hello everyone!!
My name is Riki, I'm 26, veterinarian from Israel. I really want to lose 5-7 kilograms ( i weight 57 and 158 cm high). I'v already lost about 8 kilos (actually by studying too much) and liked the new shape of of a thinner body, and I decided that I want to take another step by getting actually THIN ( since I'v always been "chubby" and i got enough of that). I have a wonderful husband, we married 2 months ago after dating for 1 year ( he knew me before I lost weight for the first time) and he really loves me :-) I also have 2 cats inside my house and 3 others that i feed outside.... So if anyone is interested in talking with me about dieting, calories, food and lifestyle I'll be glad!!! just leave me a post...![]()

Hi everyone!
I just finished my first year of grad school in biology. While in undergrad I was anorexic, hospitalized for ketosis and kidney stones. I did really well in recovery and was at a healthy weight until I came up here for more school. I'm up near the Great Lakes, and it snows very heavily 9 months a year! I hate snow and being cold, so I would go to school, sit in my office or in class 7-9 hours a day, and then come home and snuggle up on the couch with the electric blanket. I did that all winter and now that it's summer, I'm realizing that I don't fit into my summer wardrobe and I've put on 25 pounds!
I found a nice 5k trail around my house, so I've started walking that in the mornings. Then I walk about a mile to my office, and a mile home. If I lose 5-10 pounds by winter, I plan to reward myself by buying an exercise bike to put in my living room. If not, I guess I'll have to go to the university's gym!
I joined CC so that I can see not only what I'm eating, but also what I'm not eating when I get obsessive about it. It took a long time for me to acknowledge that food is good for you, and can even be a fun way to express creativity, so I'm here on the recipe board to see what everyone else is doing with the medium of food!
Hello everyone,
I just joined Calorie Count about a week ago and I love it. I am a 39 yo female, happily married for almost 20 years, with one daughter, age 15. I was always a somewhat chubby child but finally slimmed down to around 137 in high school and have stayed at that weight ever since. My husband is currently trying to lose weight and I am trying to shop and cook healthier to benefit all 3 of us. I am trying to maintain my weight. I look foward to learning lots of new recipes, cooking styles, etc. to keep us happy and healthy.
Hello all,
I joined calorie count a couple days ago, and so far I'm loving it! But I'm no stranger to weight loss--only a bit estranged.
In 2000, I lost 100 pounds--yay me. Then over the next nine years I gained half of it back. :( I still have over a hundred pounds to lose, so I'm going to be doing this for a while.
But in that year, I discovered a passion for cooking, particulary cooking with fresh fruits and vegetables, and converting recipes to maximize taste while minimizing calories and fat. I think that is perhaps why I didn't gain it ALL back during a very turbulent nine years.
Some interesting details about myself? Hmmm. I'm a 40 something wife of a pastor and aspiring writer. And I'm addicted to scrabble on facebook.
Looking forward to getting to know you!
BfloGal (Barb)
Hey! I hear ya some things are just tooo goood lol and hard to pass up. Yes I am exercising an hr a day in the pool and doing 20 mins on the gazell and I try to get in some bike time but has been way to hot the last couple of weeks. Hope everthing goes gr8! for you.
Hello all, my name is Arlene. I never had a weight problem in my younger years until I had surgery; at the age of 38 yrs. old, they removed all reproductive organs. So without those hormone producers, I went up about 40 lbs. I've been on Calorie Count since May 13th and have lost 11 lbs. so far. My body has reached a point where it is apparently in it's comfort zone, and it won't budge. I work out in the mornings, walk/run in the evenings and I am VERY careful of my diet, but the scale refuses to budge. I would love to explore more low calorie recipes that you all love and would share!
Hello everyone, My name is Angi and I just came across CC today while cruising the internet for information. I am a stay-at-home mom of 3 young boys. I was at or around 150 lbs. ( I'm 5'8") until I started going on the road w/ my truck driver husband. Working long hours, eating at odd hours, and sitting alot was not kind!! I gained about 25 lbs. then started having babies! Now, it is 10 years later, and I've managed to gain a total of 78lbs all together!! AARRGH!!
&nb sp; &nb sp; I am looking to get back in shape and not feel so tired all the time. I want to feel good about myself and set a good example for my kids. Also, looking for healthy, good tasting recipes to try for a change of pace.![]()
Hi my name is Regi. I am a 32 year old mother of two (son 11 and daughter 7) and have been married for 11 years. I have had trouble with my weight since I got out of High School. I have tried several different diets (Atkins,Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, pills from Doctor, counting calories ect..) I have lost over 60 lbs two different times in the past 7 years. The first time I did it by watching what I ate and doing The Firm work out. I hated doing the exercise and finally quit doing it and gained it all back. The second time I lost weight was just a mix between calorie counting and Weight Watchers and walking everyday (I was even in the local paper for being a dedicated walker when it was extremely cold). I eventually quit walking and watching what I ate for no good reason and gained the weight back again! That was 1 1/2 years ago. Since then I have went from 155 to 229 and bigger than I have ever been. I still have all my old clothes for when I lose it again.
I googled CC yesterday and now I can't get off of it. I love everything about it! I joined this group because I love to eat and cook. I seem to get stuck eating and fixing the same meals and then get tired of them and start eating bad again. I want some new ideas that taste great and are easy to prepare.
I work full time and keep very busy with kids activities. My husband and kids are bowlers and we travel several times a year for tournaments. I like to read, knit and love to watch movies.
Hi! My Name is Ziad. I'm 13 year old in 9th Grade. I have trouble with my weight since I was little. It's just that I can't stand to ignore food. But once i lost 22 lbs in a month. I don't really know how it happened. But i just had halved what I ate and played regular outdoor sports. But I'm still overweight with a BMI of 31.
I googled CC today for some good options of diet and how many calories I would need. It's amazing! I joined this group because I love socialising and also because it might be helpful for my dieting
I love reading. I also like to play football and watch movies. Including me, there are 5 siblings. The oldest one 29 and married. I live in Pakistan and I'm not happy with whats happening here these days. Alot of terrorism etc.
Hi, my name is Anna and I've been alive for 17 years. I lost 50 lbs since December 2008, and developed an eating disorder along the way. I am currently 90 lbs, I was going to a recovery treatment but quit, since I was still losing weight. I just joined CC. I love cooking, so I joined this groups hoping I can find new and healthy recipes I can enjoy.
I'm not really that interesting. I because quite lazy. I guess I'm pretty good at art. I enjoy reading, learning about European history, and watching National Geographic shows on disasters and possible events that would lead to world's end. I have a very evil bunny. Mikey is his name, everyone is pretty much afraid to touch him cuz the thing can really bite. I also have a kitty. I've had her for about a month and still haven't named her. I wanted Jelly Belly but for some reason it just doesn't stick.
Hello everyone,
Through my life, I was never really concerned about my weight. Never skinny, never fat., just average. I also never wanted to be skinny. I think curves ( not bulges :P as some people mistake the two), are sexy and feminine. I always ate what I wanted, but keeping in mind that if I binge eat for a day, the next several days after that, I would have to behave and my weight would not be affected.
It now seems as I get older, it's not that easy anymore. Before I would be able to loose 1kg (2.2) per week, now with working out 3-4 times a week and watching what I eat, it's more like 0.5 kg (1lbs) every two 1/2 weeks and that is really if I'm on my best behaviour.
I've now started with strict counting calories instead of just looking at how many times a day I ate, what type of food and what portion sizes i consumed. I'm continuing to workout 3 times a week (45 min cardio, 15 minute ab, buns etc)which is my max, as it's a regime which I know in the long term I can keep up.
I'm not interested in any diets, pills, or the newest fitness equipment. just some nice healthy easy recipes and gain more knowledge about nature's super foods.
That's all,
S
Hello everyone,
I am a 39-year-old female, happily marrried for 20 years, with a wonderful 15-year-old daughter. I was slightly overweight in my teen years but have maintained 137 pounds (at 5'7") for the past 22 years though I do have to work at it by watching what I eat and getting some exercise most days. I try not to be obsessive about it, but some days I do feel that way, beating myself up over something I "shouldn't have eaten". We seem to be stuck it a rut of eating the same things all the time and I would love to find some new, healthy things my family and I can eat. My husband needs to lose about 30 pounds but I am having trouble helping him accomplish this. We all 3 have a bad sweet tooth and prefer "junk" food over healthier fruits and veggies so we definitely need some help in this area.
Hey, name is Mally and i'm 21 years old. I've been changing my lifestyle for the past 2 years. I'm finally now exercising constantly, keeping track with my eating habits and starting to enjoy life a bit more. I don't go to school yet, and currently jobless (going to be moving soon anyway) so right now i can concentrate 100% in keeping this new lifestyle change.
I've got 2 cats, Mr.Tom and Charlie - both adopted. Soon all 3 of us will have a new home in British Columbia. Can't wait.
1. History with weight loss: lost 63lbs to date
2. History with Calorie Count: joined 1 year ago but didn't start really using it until these past few months
3. Reason for joining this group: i'm always looking for delicious low calories meals.
Hi guys!
I recently started seeing a nutrionist and found that at age 30 I have high cholesterol. I've been overweight most of my life and decided that it was finally time for me to do something for me, my family, and my two year old daughter who I don't want to have to go through what I have gone through. If I can save her some heartache by teaching her the "right" way to eat then by all means I will do what I can.
So, with me seeing the nutrionist and CC I have been able to lose 32 pounds in 9 weeks. For the first time in about 5 years people are calling me skinny! Very weird as I'm still technically "obese" but I think its the way I'm carring the weight that I still have to lose. Still about 35 pounds to go. I will do it. If not for me then for the little one.
The reason I joined this group is for more food idea's. I'm stuck in a rut on new recipes and find myself always cooking the same ole thing.
I'm excited to get to know you!
